Heyyyyy!! I was wondering if you could do a little something with Chanyeol were he and reader are working on a song together and everything is being recorded and they become really close and when the video is posted the fans love their chemistry and they beg them to make more music together and in one of the videos they forget that they’re being recorded and they kiss or something 😅(it’s cool if you don’t want to take this request)
a bit too close ᡣ𐭩 park chanyeol
fluff, kinda slowburn, friends to lovers, love confession, mutual pining, a little bit of kissing🧍, reader is so in love with him, grammatical error
chanyeol x f!reader
a/n idk if this is good but i hope you like it 😭
"i think it would sound better if you..." his words fell on deaf ears as you admired him. it was clear to everyone how head over heels you are for him. the way his bangs fell over his forehead, the way his dimples showed at the slightest smile, the way he would cover his mouth slightly when he was complimented.
"y/n? did you hear what i was saying?" chanyeol waved his hand in front of you, causing you to snap out of your stupor. "sorry?" you blinked, eyes slightly widened. "as i was saying, i think it would sound better if you soften your voice a little at this part," he repeated, chuckling softly at your antics.
you leaned closer to him and looked at the printed lyrics that were full of his scribbled notes. "which part?" you inquired, your eyes scanning through your part. his finger pointed out to the closing part. you flinched slightly when you felt his touch on your face. "your hair was in the way," he admitted, acting as if tucking your hair behind your ears was the most natural thing to do.
your cheeks burned slightly and you stepped a few steps back. "right," you stuttered slightly, now fixing your hair nervously. "oh, should we take a break? it's almost lunchtime," chanyeol muttered, looking at his phone's lock screen. you could only nod in reply, not trusting your voice to answer him. "what do you want? i'll order it for us," he scrolled through a food app.
soon enough, the two of you finished your recordings and it was finally time to leave the studio.
.
eris4life: did you guys see the way she was looking at him??? 👀
channielove: no wayyy did you not see the WAY chanyeol was looking at her??? eris4life: omg i just noticed! are we smelling something hereeee
kyungkyungsoo: omg they should totally collab more! they sound so good together!!!
baeksblub: guys... i think we're getting an announcement soon
you scrolled through the video's comment section, face flushing slightly because of how obviously you were staring at chanyeol. they even gave the exact time stamp! but the thought of chanyeol doing the same made your heart flutter. was he staring at you too? you hadn't noticed.
chanyeol on the other hand was smiling to himself while remembering the time you two were recording the song. his grip on the pillow grew tighter every time he remembered your smile. "hyung, he's at it again," sehun whispered in junmyeon's ear. "who's at what again?" junmyeon tilted his head slightly. kyungsoo pointed his finger toward chanyeol who was smiling ear to ear like a high school girl in love.
chanyeol was not the type to back down from a challenge. he considers talking to you more – getting to know you a challenge as not many people would have the courage to talk to the one they are interested in.
his finger hovers over your username, contemplating whether he should follow you or not. maybe this was a bad idea – that this was a very stupid idea. but hell, he loves stupid.

hey 🫣
were your eyes deceiving you or did you accept a new message from chanyeol?
y/n
hey 🫢
real__pcy
do you want to get coffee sometime? no pressure you can say no
the two of you somehow just clicked. chanyeol made you laugh so much. you made him laugh so much.
not even a year after your collaboration, the two of you were already planning a new song together. except this time, both of you were jumpy.
an accidental touch to the hand caused both of you to flinch and jump in the opposite direction. the sudden close distance made both of you stutter your words and look in the other direction. and the simplest eye contact almost caused you to ruin the whole song while recording.
you remind yourself to be mindful of your actions as the two of you are being recorded. but it was so hard sometimes when his closeness lingered a few seconds long. he probably hates you right? you were being awkward and unprofessional while recording.
"you two should take a break," the director instructed, getting up from his chair and walking out of the studio. you let out a sigh and sat down on the chair inside the recording room. and he followed suit. he carefully sat down beside you, hoping you wouldn't be uncomfortable. "so..." he started, his voice sounding awkward.
"i think you did great, by the way," he complimented, smiling shyly at you. "i think you did great, too," you returned the compliment. after a while, the silence returned. though this time, it wasn't as uncomfortable as it was a few minutes ago.
.
a few days later, the two of you returned to the studio for the final recording. due to both of you being incompetent, the recording time was longer than expected. your interaction a few days ago made both of you less skittish. except for the occasional awkward laughter.
at one point, you hadn't even realized that the two of you had gotten so close while inspecting the lyrics. "this part–" his words died down in his throat when his arm brushed yours. "sorry," he muttered but made no effort to move away. your eyes didn't peel away from his and instead, the two of you were leaning into each other's face.
with chanyeol being tall, he had to bend down a little. you closed your eyes, half-expecting for him to kiss you. while the other half; well...
his lips met yours in a slow yet sensual kiss. it wasn't rushed. and for some reason, it just felt so right. the world around you vanished and you could only feel the two of you standing there; in the room right now.
when you finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours and slowly regained his breath. "is it too late to admit that i like you?" he smiled, his cute dimples showing. you shook your head and smiled. "i like you, too,"
.
the video went viral just a few hours after being published.
chanslover: chanyeol please just one chance 😭😭
jonginreal: YESSSS THEYRE TOGETHER
junmyeonsfakecotton: my ship is sailing. i can finally die in peace.
baekshands: OMG OMG OMG TELL ME IM NOT DREAMING
kyungsoochest: you are not.

The loud drizzling sounds of rain hitting your apartment window can’t help but stir you up from your deep slumber. What the hell, you thought, rubbing your eyes a little to wash away your sleepiness. The clock beside your bedside table reads 3.40am, the timing indicates that it’s too early for anyone to be awake at the moment. The sky kept rumbling, with thunders flashing every minute and you groaned at the sight of the storm rolling in front of you. Being woken up from a storm was one thing but being awake without your husband, was another thing. You knew you wouldn’t be able to sleep again so you grabbed your phone to check if Chanyeol had landed in Seoul from his recent work trip from Paris.
Notifications 02.30am KST Yeol: > Babe? > I just landed with the worst weather ever! > I can't wait to see you > I missed you so much :(( Read 03.43am KST
Being married for 2 years to one of the most famous idol in Korea, you were accustomed to his busy schedule. Flying out here and there to attend concerts, award shows, photoshoots and prestigious events was part of the job. With you working as a fashion editor, his daily agenda was not out of the ordinary for you. The difference only being the fact that he works under the limelight, but you don’t—not that you mind at all. Nevertheless, both of you made it work. It was too easy to understand how it feels to work under a tight schedule without any time to breathe. You with your never-ending deadlines and meetings, and him with his idol life.
However, dating him for 6 years and being married to him for three, being away from him never gets easier.
You zoned out for a while before a loud thud distracted your attention, followed by your bedroom door clicking open. Your husband was finally home, his tall frame resting against the door with a huge grin on his face. Even with the minimal lighting of your bedroom, you could make up the bags under his sparkling eyes and the sight made you frown.
“Hii honey,” his voice soft as ever, “I missed you so much..”
You sat up beaming at him while reaching out, welcoming him with open arms. He took a step closer to the bed, engulfing your sleepy figure. You replied with a small ‘hello’ as you melted into his hug. You really can’t help but wonder how he’d smell so nice after a long-haul flight, but nevertheless, you love inhaling his scent that brings you nothing but comfort.
“How long have you been awake? The storm must’ve woken you up.” His voice was laced with worry.
You held his cheeks with your hands and he practically melt under your touch,
“Not too long ago.”
“Please quickly shower and join me in bed, huh? Pretty please…” you pouted at his tired state.
“Anything for you, baby. Give me a while and I’ll join you as soon as possible!”
He didn’t close the door as he showered, not that you’d mind, at this point you were too sleepy to even think of peeking. As the water ran down on his back, he unconsciously kept you awake by chatting with you. He really couldn’t help that he missed his wife so much.
“Babe, do you have plans tomorrow?”
“No? Not that I could think of…I might drop by the studio and the office tomorrow morning but other than that, I don’t think I’ll be booked the whole day. Are you going somewhere tomorrow?”
“The office? Isn’t tomorrow like..Saturday? Is Saerim giving you a hard time? What about the interns? They’re not helping you enough? Are you working too hard again?” He rambled on with concern with a raised voice as the running water muffled his voice.
“I- Uh..” you stammered, “Yeol, I t-told you work is fine” you quipped. The sound of the water subsided as a tall figure emerged from the bathroom. Chanyeol dried his hair, ruffling the soft brown locks with a towel as he frowned at your response. He knew you were having a hard time at work and had asked you to quit a thousand times by now. Even without the math, anyone would know that his pay would be enough for the both of you to live comfortably.
You looked at your golden-retriever husband in the eye, “So where are you going tomorrow?”
A thing about Chanyeol is that he’d waive things out so easily, as easy as shifting the conversation to another topic and he won’t go back to pester the elephant in the room.
At your question he blinks a few times, “Would you mind if I take a day out tomorrow with the boys? Baek said he needed some pointers for his upcoming solo album and Junmyeon-Hyung had things to discuss for the group.” He scratched the back of his head.
“But that is…if it’s okay with you?” he nervously asked.
“That’s okay, babe…” you half yawned, sleep lulled you once again as you tried snuggling inside the comforter,
“I really don’t mind”, the drowsiness took you as the soft satin sheets came in contact with your skin. He smiled at the sight as he returned the towel to its place. Chanyeol didn’t take long to join you in bed, cuddling you in his arms.
After his hectic schedules and weeks without holding you, being beside you was the perfect medicine to charge his tired form. He sighed, relieving all his weariness before the slumber took him out.
He knew, this was home.
You, were home.
—
Morning came faster than you’d like. The rain from last night hadn’t stopped, raindrops trickling on your high-floor apartment as the sky was still dark as ever. Beside you, a tired giant, possessively hugging you amidst his sleep. You giggled at this grown-up man’s clingy behaviour. Chanyeol will always be the cutest, ever.
You blamed your body clock for waking up so early on a Saturday, especially on this dreading Saturday.
With a little struggle, you free yourself from Chanyeol’s hold and tiptoed to the kitchen. It was just 6.00am but you quickly prepared breakfast for the both of you and salad, for Chanyeol just in case he wants a light lunch.
As you sipped your coffee, last night’s conversation went through your head. He knew you had troubles at work, he had plans and you said you were okay, you didn’t mind.
You internally sighed because mind you did.
You were far from okay.
Because even though you’d hate to admit it, you’d love to have him for yourself. In fact, you have missed him so much these past few weeks that it physically hurts.
But no.
You had work.
Your useless-piece-of-a-shit-partner Yoon Saerim, will probably taunt you if you don’t come up with a better concept for this month’s pictorial. So even though you miss being around your ball of sunshine more than you’d like to admit, fate was just not in your favour this Saturday.
You could always quit, is what Yeol usually says after your long rant about your horrible boss and the disgusting amount of workload you had to handle. Sure you have subordinates and interns working under you, but working in fashion for so long, you came to the conclusion that nothing is never ever enough when it comes to the industry.
Thinking back, Chanyeol always loved being under the spotlight as an idol ever since his debut days and making music was as precious as that. After both of you settled down and eventually got married, you were quick to admit that Chanyeol sacrificed a lot for you, even if you didn’t ask him to. He paid the bills, every bill. He took care of the parents, dinner dates with your parents and his every other week were a staple and he’d never miss sending health supplements once in a while. You never asked him to do so but married Chanyeol just stepped up and took on the role as a caring husband so naturally.
Even with his burning passion in music, he went the extra mile, producing countless songs by the count of months. At times he goes on an overdrive, he’d lock himself up in the studio and he would forget about everything else. Situations like this scares the shit out of you. You remembered the first time he went berserk, it took you and his members two days to figure out where he was. He’d gone AWOL and you had to call the police to track down his phone, just to find out that he’d been coping himself in the studio for 48 hours without sleep or food, only water. You and Sehun found him sitting down in front of the recording booth with a guitar in hand, music sheets sprawled on the floor. His eyes were already bloodshot red, it was clear that he was sleep-deprived, very tired and out of focus. Sehun sighed, ready to scold Yeol for his stupid behaviour before your husband quipped,
“Please don’t take me away, not yet…”
his eyes all over the place with brows furrowed, his forehead creasing.
“I swear if you give me more time, I’ll finish this tomorrow and I’ll go but please leave and don’t come here until tomorrow, yeah? I need to finish this song because they’ll pay a huge amount for this one… Give me more time, please?” He is disassociated as ever, you were aware that he didn’t notice you due to his state.
“Hyung…” the younger sighed again.
“S-Sehun-ah, I have Y/N now.. You might not know how it feels now but I- I want to give the world to her. We’re idols but our prime time is way past us, when the momentum is gone, we might too.” He dropped his head to the door of the recording booth as he sighed,
He mindlessly draws patterns on the floor, “I need to save up for Y/N, for our future.. and it won’t happen if I don’t work like this. So-“
In a blink you crouched down, embracing him with tears already wetting your face. Words couldn’t form but the pressure, the knot that he bear was starting to unravel. He got your message,
You’re enough.
Moments like these, his breakdowns, were one of the things that kept you grounded. If you’re being honest, your job also keeps you on your feet. Working as an co-chief editor in fashion was always your dream and to be frank, you enjoyed the job more than you let on. But the past year has been nothing but hell, thanks to the newly appointed co-chief editor Yoon Saerim. You habitually ponder how she got the position as she wasn’t really suitable for the job, she didn’t really have the knack for fashion. But moreover, you just didn’t like the fact that she ogled Chanyeol and Sehun when they came by for a photoshoot.
You quickly snapped out of your deep thoughts when you gulped your last drop of coffee, thinking of Yoon Saerim never fails to make you turn sour.
Without wasting more time, you prepared yourself to head to your studio. For disclaimer, the studio was Chanyeol’s, not the office’s. Not long after you started the job years ago, both of you decided that it would be nice to rent out an old apartment in the city for the both of you to work. The studio has a built-in recording booth, production space for Chanyeol and a creative working-space for you. However, with time passing, you ended up using the space more than your husband.
Before you left the house, you gave him a forehead kiss and stuck a post-it-note on his phone,
‘Good Morning My Happy Virus ♡ thank you for always working so hard, sometimes you worry me, love :( have a great time with the boys today! am out for work - it’s deadline week ◡̈ i love you 3000 — much, much love, Y/N ‘
—
You arrived at the empty studio with your shoulders slumped, looking at the stacked paper, pictorials and mood boards around your disoriented workspace. The interns must’ve sent these yesterday, fucking hell, here we go again.
Not long after, you succumbed to the job you love and hate at the same time. To be honest, as one of the high-ranked chief editor in your company, it wasn’t your share to do these tasks anymore, those days were over you. But reviewing each and every item, every trend that goes into the magazine is a job you love no matter how meticulous it actually is. Besides, the information you extract from all this has proven to help your career so far, making you one of the sought-out fashion editors in Seoul. However the fact doesn’t relieve you from the burden and pressure you get from your useless co-chief editor.
“She’s bossy and pushy but useless— and you’re too compliant, Babe,” Chanyeol would always joke and you’d usually tackle him back with a pillow, leaving both of you cackling in the process.
Speaking of Chanyeol, the man in question just stirred up from bed, barely opening his eyes, adjusting to the gloomy weather in front of his open-windowed bedroom. He instantly rubbed his sides, sleep evidently washed away when he realised his beloved Y/N weren’t there. He called your name out a few times to make sure that maybe, you were outside the room, just to know that his voice had filled the void of your apartment.
As expected, he immediately sat up and grabbed his phone to call you. Before even unlocking his cell, he found your oh-so-lovely note that you stuck on this morning. Chanyeol sighed, he knew you were having a hard time but you never fail to warm his heart with your sweet note, he particularly loved the use of his favourite iron-man quote.
He stared at the note lovingly for a while before heading to the bathroom and freshened up for the day. When he entered the kitchen to see a packed lunch box and another one with breakfast inside, he sulked further. Your puppy-like husband misses you and you doing this, made him sappier. He carefully unpacked the meals you prepared, gratefully munching your cooking. He was supposed to meet his members at 10 and so, he drove quickly as he was running late. When he parked his car in front of the company’s building, a text came from Baekhyun.
Notifications 10.08am KST Baek: > Yeol? > the meeting’s canceled > Junmyeon-hyung said something came up > and my mom called, she wanted my help :O > Really sorry for the sudden intrusion! But have a good rest day with Y/N ^^ > Send her my love too!! Read 10.15am KST
< BYUN BAEKHYUN YOU LITTLE SHIT < THANKS FOR THE ‘HEADS UP’ < Picture sent < LOOK WHERE I AM YOU LITTLE SHIT!!! Sent 10.16am KST
Baek: > Oh.. > The message didn’t come through 😅 I texted you way before,, must be the reception? > But you can always have a good time with y/n!! > I’m so sorry 🥺 Read 10.17am KST
Chanyeol couldn’t be sulkier. His ears literally drooped down as he huffed in annoyance. He didn’t reply back to Baekhyun as he slid the phone back in his pockets. He drove home in silence, even the thought of going back to bed to aid his tiredness didn’t make him feel better. He entered the foyer of the empty apartment and he shuffled inside lazily. You’d probably melt if you see him right now, his shoulder slumped slightly with a goo-goo look on his face. Especially now, with his buffier-form, compared to his pre-debut lanky state is something you’d administer as a cute change as a result of his exercising habits over the years. But it doesn’t matter because you’re not there and alas he came home to a cold, dark, empty apartment with his love nowhere to be seen.
The sky dark, rain still pouring down, much like his mood. The thing about Chanyeol is the fact that he’s a clingy extrovert when it comes to people he loves. You love that about him. He didn’t care about the hectic schedule, it’s the ‘being away from you’ that made everything hard to surpass. That’s why after every schedule abroad, Chanyeol would love going home when he knows his love is waiting for him. There’s nothing better than coming home to a warm apartment with you snuggled on the couch. However, now, he’s the only one on the couch, alone.
He pondered for more than an hour, zoning out, before deciding to stand up and head to the door once again. The silence is deafening, he misses you too much and he had to do something about it.
—
In your studio, coming in your nearly fifth hour of productivity, you’re starting to break down. You were now on the verge of crying while doing your work, it’s the creativity block, you mentally cursed. You’ve been dealing with it lately but having to work in fashion, it’s inevitable and you never really told anyone about it, especially not Chanyeol. You felt that his occupation demanded more of him than yours did to you, you wouldn’t want to burden him with your problems.
“Fuck.”
“Fucking hell!”
“This is so not happening right now…” tears welled as the screen of your precious laptop turned pitch black. You scoffed at the situation with the waterworks falling down your eyes. You were over this.
You slumped near the corners of the room, hugging your knees as you stared at your now dead device, silently crying as your head whirls for other, worse negative possibilities of happening. Numb, is probably the best way to describe your current state after crying your heart out for 30 minutes straight. You end up curling yourself into a ball, hanging your head low in the corners of the room as your mind goes blank.
As you hid yourself in the darkest corners of your office, you failed to notice the jiggling sound of the key, the clacking locks and the noise of the door opening.
“Babeeeee?” the sound traveled from the hallway. Lo and behold, a sulked Chanyeol is here. His mood is still on the low but the idea of meeting you gets him excited like a puppy.
You couldn’t hear him though, your head still in a blocked-state and the room you’re in was the furthest from the hallway.
Chanyeol entered the studio, footsteps tapping against the hardwood flooring. It puzzled him why he didn’t receive an answer back, but knowing your shoes were on the foyer, he knew you were somewhere inside. He set foot to the break room, your coat was on the couch but where were you?
He continued peeking into his recording studio, the nearest space to the break room. The lights were out, signalling him that you’re probably not there. The bathroom and the other rooms were also empty, your office was the only place left. He slowly knocked, hoping to get an answer. To his surprise, nothing. He then gently pushed the door open, just enough for his head to peek inside. Before he could call your name, he heard sniffles from the farthest corner, he could make up your hunched, clearly crying figure and your favourite beige socks too. He exhaled as his worries washed away. Even though his heart ached more than ever, finding you with a meltdown was a relief as he initially thought you passed out or worse.
He didn’t enter the room. He shuffled himself out as quietly as possible to grab his guitar in his recording room. This should do, he thought.
He re-entered your office, walked closer and sat on the floor near you. The cramped space barely fits his long legs.
“Hey,” he greeted you with a hushed voice.
Noticing his voice, you instinctively lift up your head to see your husband, sitting in front of you. In your shocked-state, you forcefully brushed off your tears in embarrassment, your skin will probably turn red later.
“Hey.. No, no, no..” he reached out, wiping your tears, caressing your disheveled hair.
“Gently, yeah, yeah.. You’ll hurt yourself” he continued as he patted the areas under your eyes with his long sleeves.
After you calmed down, you didn’t have the courage to even say anything to the man. Deep down, you were embarrassed to be found in a silly breakdown, even if it was your husband. Besides, you didn’t know what to say to him anyways. While you were overthinking and avoiding eye contact with him, he pulled the guitar behind him and started to play a familiar song,
“It's a beautiful life 난 너의 곁에 있을게 (I'll stay by your side) It's a beautiful life 너의 뒤에 서 있을게 (I'll stand right behind you) Beautiful love”
Slowly but surely, your heart warmed up to the sound of his voice and you couldn’t help but stare at your husband. He stopped singing when your eyes met and he gave you a comforting smile.
“C’mon, let’s get you up princess,” as he helped you stand up, circling his arms around your waist. You haven’t articulated a sound but he didn’t mind, he just let you lean into his sides as he guided you to the couch in the break room. He sat you down before abruptly standing and rummaging a brown paper bag on the coffee table,
“I got your favourite cake and hot chocolate actually,” he grinned, facing your puffy face. “I thought you were having a hard time, well- I know you are having a hard time… But you never tell me you know, Babe?” He rambled as he unboxed a variety of sliced cakes and pastries on the table.
“I-I get the fact that you wouldn’t want to burden me, but I’m kinda your husband and best friend too.. I wish you wouldn’t keep these things from me” he picked up the fork and scooped a piece of cheesecake to feed you,
Before you had the chance to reply,
“I mean—open up a lil’ baby— I don’t mind you working and all, it’s your passion and I will support you either way, but you don’t get to shield your meltdowns from me… Who’s gonna hold you when you cry, huh?” he kept on chattering while feeding you, giving you no room to talk.
“I’ve said a thousand times that we’re super comfortable right now, yet I know it’s not about the money, I’m super cool with you working.. It’s about the workload a-and the pressure you get from your subs and colleagues!!” He raised his arms as a sign of annoyance.
You gulped down the big chunk of cheesecake and shut him up with a peck. The action took him by surprise but it didn’t fail to shut him up.
“Okay, Chanyeol.” you softly replied, followed by another peck on his lips
“I get what you mean” you smiled at your husband.
You then began on telling the troubles you had at work, silently thanking the universe that he came in the right moment and that he was your saving grace. He listened intently, even going to the measures of contacting his technician friends to help fix your laptop as soon as possible. He made jokes too along the way to lighten your mood and gave you warm touches here and there to comfort you further.
You were his home, his ground zero.
He was yours too.
—
Hours passed and now you were back working, Chanyeol in the other room, busying himself in the recording studio.
“Yeol?” you called him.
“Hmm? What’s up princess?”
“Uh- I just remembered, didn’t you had like- plans? You were supposed to go with Baek and the members today right?”
Footsteps were apparent as he walked closer to the opened door of your office, his head peeped through the door.
“Junmyeon-Hyung canceled, Baek too.. I was quite grumpy because I reached the office when Baekhyun texted me” He walked in further.
“Then I came home but the house wasn’t warm enough even though I cranked the heater up!” He sulked, and sulked further.
“I was alone, I don’t want to be…I also don't want you to be alone too Y/N.
I only wanted to be around you, I really tried staying in!! But I couldn’t be alone in the house without you when you’re my home.” he pouted.
You want to die then and there, you miss him as much and he was sad, it makes you sad too, but he was being sulky-cute… Can you turn into a putty of love?
“Come here you big baby!” you excitedly threw yourself in his arms. He buried his soft locks on the crook of your neck as he whispered ‘I miss you' s and you couldn’t help but let out a hearty laugh.
“I miss you too, Yeol..
I miss you so, so much.” He hugged you tighter as he giggled too.
This was it, you thought. This was love at its finest and you couldn’t be happier that you’ve found it. For all the moments, good or bad, both of you never failed to become each other's home.

TOXIC CHANYEOL FF PLEASE
thanks for the req!🩷 this is not the end of toxic chanyeol on my page!!! i made it a lil smutty, hope you like it!
back 2 u • pcy [req]
pairing: toxic!chanyeol x f reader, established relationship
synopsis: chanyeol is a fuckboy and reader can’t seem to stay away
genre: angst, slight smut 18+ minors dni
warnings: swearing, manipulation, mentions of cheating, mentions of alcohol, mentions of smut, reader doesn’t like sehun, reader and chanyeol don’t belong together, reader is mentioned to be a bit toxic herself! mentions of baekhyun, sehun, and kyungsoo.
all it took was one video taken from a fucked up angle, exposing everything that you never, ever wanted to see in your life, to you. it was so hard to miss, his dumb face smiling at the dumb girl sitting on his lap. you’re rarely ever grateful for sehun, that bastard, but god were you grateful for his stupidity and lack of awareness right now. because of him, you’re speeding down the freeway, on your way to a club to get you boyfriend in check, all thanks to his idiot friend posting a video of him at a club with the location attached. it was so easy, it almost felt like bait.
you practically whip your car into a group of people waiting to cross the street, but you couldn’t care less. you hop out of the car, severely underdressed for the club in a pair of black jeans, a black crop top, and black boots. but again, you couldn’t care less. the only thing on your mind was knocking some sense into your boyfriend and his best friend, in more ways than one.
storming up to the front of the line, you ignore the protests from the people behind you as you cut. you’ve never paid to get into a club, but there’s a first time for everything because you slap two 20s into the bouncers hand, and then you’re walking through a too-packed club.
you push your way through bodies, unsure of where you’re really going but knowing that you’ll find him regardless. it was so like sehun to expose chanyeol like that, whether he meant to or not. it’s not even the first time, either. last time he did it, it exposed that chanyeol lied about where he was going (strip club), and the time before that he exposed that chanyeol was hanging around other women when he specifically told you that there wasn’t going to be women around. of course, you knew he was lying each time, but to find out from that idiot sehun made everything worse.
your head swivels around as you push through the bodies, searching for an overly tall head, or an overly loud laugh to catch your attention, but the darkness and the strobe lights make it more difficult for you to see anybody or anything.
you practically make it to the end of the club, still not finding chanyeol. you stop for a moment and lean against the wall, fishing your phone out of your back pocket and dialing chanyeols number. your eyes scan the club as you listen to the phone ring; the chances of him answering are 50/50, but he knows exactly how you get when he goes out and doesn’t answer your calls or texts, so it would definitely be in his best interest to answer his phone.
like clockwork, though, he doesn’t. you scoff and go to call him again, but the spotting of baekhyun from across the way has your finger hovering in mid air and your feet power walking themselves over to him. “baekhyun!” you shout loudly, making a few people turn around, including the man himself.
when he sees you, he smiles, but his face quickly morphs into.. something else; a bit of panic. “y/n! what are you doing here?” he asks, pulling you in for a hug that you don’t reciprocate. out of all of chanyeols friends, though, you hated baekhyun and kyungsoo the least, but you still didn’t particularly like them.
“where’s chanyeol?” you ask, ignoring his question. baekhyun brings his hand up to his hair, and you know he’s about to lie. “don’t even fucking lie for him either, baekhyun. where is he?” his eyes dart around the club and you squint up at him, frustrated with the entire situation and just tired of it all. dealing with chanyeol is like an awful game of tennis that refuses to end. you’re both tied, but sometimes the score is 30-15, and nobody ever wins. it’s like cat and mouse, but a more demented version.
“uhh… if i tell you, do you promise to not cause a scene?” he asks.
“no. where is he?” you ask, grabbing onto his arm. he looks down at your hand that grips his forearm tightly, shocked at the strength of you. you see the surrender in his eyes and almost want to smiles, but you don’t.
baekhyun sighs. “fine. he’s back there, in the lounge. don’t get yourself arrested, alright? it’s summer,” he says, but you’re already taking off in the direction he pointed in. you beeline through people, shoving bodies harder than necessary but you’re on a mission.
you see chanyeol before you even get to the lounges, and the sight makes all of the air disappear from your lungs. a woman with dark hair sits on his lap, one of his legs in between hers. she’s turned around to face him, her face close to his ear, and his arms are wrapped around her middle, his left hand resting on her thigh. chanyeol is a lot of things, but honest isn’t one of them. you know you’ve definitely given him too many chances, but when things are good with him, they’re good; so good it’s like you’re floating on air.
pushing your hurt feelings away, you storm into the lounge area with a fire beneath your feet. you spot a disregarded drink on a table and grab it, walking up to chanyeol and the girl and saying, “what the fuck are you doing?” the drink in your hand cocked back and ready to be thrown.
chanyeol looks startled at your presence, his eyes wide. “y/n?”
“who the fuck are you?” you ask the girl, staring down at her. she looks up at you, and then back at chanyeol.
“is this your girlfriend?” she asks, and the words make your skin boil. he didn’t even have the decency to consider you before he sat down with her.
his hesitation to respond to the girl makes her scoff and get off of him. she gives you a pitying look that makes you feel embarrassed and like crying, and then she’s off. “don’t throw that,” chanyeol says, pointing at the glass in your hand.
“why shouldn’t i, asshole?” you manage to keep the tears out of your eyes by sheer willpower, but you feel like falling to your knees.
“because,” chanyeol says, standing up and ripping the glass out of your hands. he sets it down behind him and reaches for you, and you slap his hands away.
“don’t fucking touch me. i’m sick of you!” you say, stepping away from him.
“y/n, it’s not what it looked like,” he says plainly, like you only walked in on the two of them standing side by side and not her fully sitting on his lap and his hand inching up her skirt. “i don’t even know her.” he says, like it makes it any better.
“fuck you,” you say, turning to leave, drained from the whole situation. you start walking, practically running with how fast you’re moving. chanyeol reaches for you, capturing your wrist in his large hand and pulls you back towards him. “get off of me!” you yell at him, prying his hand off of you. he opens his mouth to say something, but you take off again.
he shouts your name the entire time you’re trying to leave, partly because he knows it’ll irritate you, and because he knows it’ll get your attention. “stop, chanyeol! just stop!” you shout once you get outside in the cold air. you wrap your arms around your midriff and huff out air.
“y/n, just let me explain,” he says, sliding out of his jacket and handing it to you. you look at it and shake your head, making him scoff. “don’t be dumb, y/n, it’s freezing. take it.” he says, and you snatch it out if his hands and slide it over your body.
“there’s nothing to explain! i know what i fucking saw—you can thank your best friend for that by the way,” you say, glaring up at him. chanyeol runs his hand through his hair and mumbles fucking sehun, and you rolls your eyes. “quit associating with dumb ass people, and maybe we wouldn’t be in this situation.” but knowing him, and yourself, you’d find a way to be here.
he only licks his lips and looks at you, and you avert your gaze. if you look into those big, brown eyes that can make you melt with just one look, you’re screwed. “can you just let me explain myself?” he asks. the nerve.
you scoff. “if you’re going to justify you cheating on me, just save it,” you say, shaking your head. you glance around outside and notice that you’ve gained a small audience of the club goers. this is probably what baekhyun was talking about.
“woah, i didn’t cheat on you, let’s get that clear,” he says, a frown on his face. you roll your eyes for the umpteenth time, and put your hands in the pocket of his jacket.
“mhm. well, i’m over this, and you,” you say, turning around to leave. you hear his footsteps behind you, and try not to start running.
when you get to your car, you open the door but his hand stops you. “chanyeol, move. i’m serious,” you say, looking up at him. you bite the inside of your cheek as you try not to get lost in the look he’s giving you.
he moves, because he knows he’s got you still. all it takes is one look (and good pipe) to get you right back underneath him, where he likes you most.
you drive off, leaving chanyeol standing there, feeling proud of himself because if he didn’t have a reason to pull up on you unannounced tomorrow, you have his jacket.
you wake up bleary eyed, and a little disoriented. your back hurts from sleeping on your couch, and your legs feel stiff from sleeping in your jeans. an empty wineglass and half-empty bottle sit on the coffee table before you, and you move to clean up with a yawn.
after picking up the living room, you change out of last nights clothes and into a pair of shorts and a big tshirt. when you go to throw you clothes in the hamper, you see a pair of chanyeols boxers, and bite your bottom lip. you’re sure you’re done with him, but you don’t know if that was made clear last night. you consider calling him to tell him that it’s over, but that he’ll only see that as an invitation for him to come over and ‘change your mind’.
sighing, you toss your dirty clothes on top and pick up around your room, forcing your brain to not give a shit that a lot of the items in here are his. you don’t live together, luckily, but of course you both have things at each others houses. you just wish he didn’t have so much.
a knock on your front door makes you pause. you aren’t expecting anybody, but you have a gut feeling that you already know who it is. so you take your time answering, making your bed and tossing more dirty laundry into the basket. you fold your throw blanket, and even consider vacuuming, until insistent knocks start pounding against your door.
you rolls your eyes and slip into your slippers, and walk down the hall to your front door. you don’t bother checking, because only one person could be so annoying at 10 in the morning.
but you probably should have checked before, because when you pull the door open and see chanyeol standing there in a pair of gray sweats, a matching hoodie, jordans, and a backwarss cap, holding a bouquet of pink roses, you feel like sliding to the floor. he leans against the door frame in only a way that tall men can make look lazy in sexy way, and that makes you want to slam the door in his face. “good morning,” he says, his voice raspy like this is the first time he’s talked since waking up.
you only stare at him, an irritated look on his face, but your heartbeat is saying something different. “what do you want?”
he extends the flowers to you, which you take with a forced act of “i don’t give a fuck”-ness. “i want my jacket back. and to apologize,” he says, putting his hands in his sweat pockets.
“you could start with the apology, and then get all of your shit,” you say to him. a flash of disappointment crosses his face, but he quickly composes himself.
“y/n, i’m sorry about last night, and that i did what i did with that girl. you know i don’t ever want to hurt you, but i did, and i’m sorry that i caused you pain. you don’t have to forgive me right now, but i hope that you consider,” he says. you just stare at him blankly, wanting him out of your presence.
“get your shit,” is all you say before walking away to put the flowers in some water. and maybe you swing your hips a little bit because you know that he’s watching, but who can really say?
he goes down the hall to your room while you cut the ends of the flowers and find a vase to put them in. you then set them in the center of your dining room table. you glance down the hall and see chanyeol digging through the drawer that you let him have, and walk down to your room.
you stand in the doorway and watch him, to make sure that he gets everything out. he glances back at you when he feels your gaze on him. “are you just gonna stand there?” he asks.
“until you leave? yes.”
he sighs and straightens up, turning to walk over to you. you tense up as he gets closer, and focus your eyes towards the center of his chest. “y/n”, he says, trying to get you to look at him. you resist. “y/n, baby, i’m sorry. i really am,” he says, bending down to meet your eyes, and you make the mistake of looking at him.
you let out a pathetic sound that’s the cross between a sigh and a whimper, and he smirks at you, his hands coming around your waist. “chanyeol, stop,” you whine, barely putting any effort in getting out of his hold. “you’re such an ass. you keep doing this shit, and i’m tired of it. you say the same thing every single time!”
“i know, baby. and i’m sorry,” he says, burying his face in your neck. there goes that pet name that makes you want to slap him, and die in his arms.
chanyeol kisses your neck and you can’t help but bring your hand to take place in the hair at the nape of his neck. one of his hands moves from your waist to your ass, grabbing the flesh and pulling you closer to him. he gently bites your neck to test the waters, and you yank his hat, pulling him away from your skin to look at him. “stop that,” you say and he puts his hands up in surrender.
you both look at each other, and you make the mistake of flicking your eyes down to his lips. he smirks at you like the devil himself and says, “you can kiss me. i know you want to.”
and so you do, because fuck it. you always knew, in the back of your mind, that you’d both end up here. you always do, whether it’s you apologizing (rare) or him, this is always what happens the next day.
the kiss is messy and full of desire, his hands gripping your ass and yours pulling off his hat and throwing it across your room. you yank at his hair, and he lifts you up with ease and carries you over to your bed, throwing you down. he doesn’t waste any time pushing your shirt up and kissing your stomach before pulling your shorts down, settling in between your legs, the place where you love him the most.
and maybe this is why you always come back, because you know he’s about to give it to you good and eat you like a starved man.

Chapter 7
The week leading up to N/a’s big show was a whirlwind of rehearsals, costume fittings, and late-night dinners with Chanyeol. Every evening when she came home, he would be waiting for her, the warmth of their apartment contrasting with the cool air of the fall nights.
Chanyeol watched her with a quiet intensity during those dinners. He could sense her nervous energy, but also the passion in her voice as she talked about every new step she mastered and the excitement surrounding the show. Her face lit up when she shared the details, and her laughter filled the space between them. It had become their routine, he listened, admired, and supported her with quiet strength. But underneath his calm demeanor, a storm was brewing.
He had heard whispers, dangerous ones. The world he had worked so hard to shield N/a from was inching closer to her, threatening to break into the beautiful world she had created for herself. Chanyeol couldn’t let that happen. The rumors of his enemies planning something during her performance gnawed at him, keeping him up late into the night as he strategized how to keep her safe.
One evening, after another long day of rehearsals, N/a came home exhausted but glowing with anticipation. Chanyeol had prepared a simple dinner for them, and as they sat at the table, she talked excitedly about the upcoming show.
“The costumes are perfect, and everyone is pushing themselves to the limit,” she said, her eyes sparkling. “I just can’t believe it’s happening. I’ve dreamed of performing at the National Opera for so long, and now it’s real.”
Chanyeol nodded, his lips curving into a soft smile as he watched her. “You’re going to be amazing. They’ll all see what I’ve known all along, that you’re the best.”
She reached across the table, taking his hand. “Thank you for everything, Chanyeol.”
The night of the big performance arrived, and N/a felt every nerve in her body tingle with excitement and anxiety. The grand stage of the Korean National Opera awaited her, the culmination of years of dedication and sacrifice. She stood in front of the mirror backstage, adjusting her glittering costume, a breathtaking creation of crystals and delicate fabric. Her hair was swept into an elegant bun, every detail meticulously prepared. But despite the rush of excitement, she couldn’t shake the slight feeling of dread.
Chanyeol had been acting differently the past few days, tense, distracted. She knew something was bothering him, but he hadn’t said anything directly. And tonight, even though she was entirely focused on her performance, a small part of her wondered what was going on behind his dark, brooding eyes.
As she was putting on the final touches of her makeup, there was a knock at the door. She looked up to see Chanyeol standing in the doorway, dressed in a sleek, tailored black suit that made him look impossibly handsome. His presence was magnetic, but there was a heaviness in his eyes that she couldn’t ignore.
“Chanyeol,” she whispered, her breath catching at the sight of him.
He stepped inside, holding a bouquet of deep red roses. “For you,” he said, his voice soft, yet his gaze intense as he handed her the flowers. They were beautiful, a striking contrast against her pale costume. She smiled, but she couldn’t ignore the subtle tension in his jaw.
“You look stunning,” he murmured, his eyes lingering on her as if he was memorizing every detail.
“Thank you,” she replied, placing the flowers gently on the table beside her. “I’m nervous.”
He stepped closer, reaching out to brush a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “You’re going to be perfect,” he assured her, his voice low, almost a whisper. But even as he comforted her, his eyes flickered with something else, something darker.
N/a tilted her head slightly, sensing the shift in him. “Chanyeol… is something wrong?”
He paused, then shook his head, though his answer felt like a half-truth. “Nothing you need to worry about. Tonight is your night. Just focus on your performance.”
She nodded, trusting him, but the unease lingered in the back of her mind.
As the time for the performance grew closer, Chanyeol left her dressing room and made his way into the grand hall of the opera house. The lights were dim, the air thick with anticipation as the audience began to settle into their seats. Chanyeol moved through the crowd with an air of authority, his eyes scanning every face, every movement. He had stationed his men around the perimeter of the opera house, inside and outside. They were discreet, blending in with the audience and staff, but their purpose was clear. No one would get close to N/a tonight without going through him first.
Baekhyun had already sent him updates from outside, confirming that his men had secured all the main entry points. Sehun was positioned in the balcony, overseeing the layout of the auditorium. Chanyeol’s heart raced slightly faster than usual as he surveyed the scene. He couldn’t afford any mistakes tonight. Rumors had been swirling that his enemies were planning something, and with N/a’s high-profile performance, it was the perfect opportunity for them to strike.
As he took his seat near the front, Chanyeol’s eyes never stopped moving. The dark theater, filled with patrons dressed in their finest attire, might have looked peaceful to an outsider, but to him, every shadow held a potential threat. His fists clenched momentarily, the bruises from the past few days still fresh from his encounters with those who had tried to mess with him. But tonight, he would ensure nothing reached her.
Backstage, N/a took deep breaths as she heard the low hum of the audience settling in. The stage manager gave her a nod, and she stepped into the wings, waiting for her cue. Her heart pounded in her chest, not just from the nerves of performing in front of such a prestigious crowd, but also from the brief interaction with Chanyeol. There was something haunting in his eyes tonight, something that made her stomach twist. But she pushed it aside, focusing on the music and her routine.
The curtains rose, and the soft notes of the orchestra filled the air. N/a stepped onto the stage, her body moving gracefully in sync with the music. Each pirouette, each leap was flawless, as though she had transcended the physical world and become part of the music itself. The crowd was silent, utterly captivated by her performance.
But as she danced, N/a couldn’t help but think about Chanyeol. Was he watching her? Was he proud of her? She spun across the stage, her heart aching with the desire to share this moment with him. But in the back of her mind, the nagging feeling of something being wrong wouldn’t go away.
From his seat, Chanyeol’s eyes were glued to her. She was a vision on stage, her movements fluid and mesmerizing. For a moment, he allowed himself to be lost in the beauty of her performance. But his focus quickly snapped back as he noticed a figure moving in the shadows near the side of the stage. His body tensed, and he signaled Baekhyun with a subtle nod.
The figure disappeared into the wings, and Chanyeol felt his pulse quicken. His instincts were screaming that something was off. His phone buzzed in his pocket, another update from his men outside. There were reports of suspicious figures loitering around the entrance.
He stood up, leaving his seat quietly and heading toward the side exit where the figure had disappeared. His steps were silent, his mind racing. If his enemies had come tonight, they wouldn’t leave unscathed.
N/a finished the final move of her routine, landing gracefully on her toes as the music reached its crescendo. The audience erupted into applause, the sound washing over her like a wave. She bowed, her heart swelling with pride, but as she straightened up, her eyes scanned the audience, searching for Chanyeol. He wasn’t in his seat.
Her stomach dropped slightly, but she forced a smile and continued to bow with the rest of the cast. As the curtains fell, she quickly made her way backstage, her heart pounding for a reason entirely different from the performance.
In the dimly lit corridors of the opera house, Chanyeol moved swiftly, his mind focused on finding the threat. As he turned a corner, he came face to face with the man he had been chasing , a low-level enforcer from one of the rival gangs. The man smirked, but before he could say anything, Chanyeol grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall.
“You’re a fool for coming here,” Chanyeol growled, his voice low and dangerous.
The man’s smirk faltered, his eyes flicking around nervously. “It’s not what you think,” he muttered.
Chanyeol’s grip tightened, his knuckles white with rage. “If you or anyone else tries to get near her, I will end you. This is your only warning.”
The man paled, nodding quickly before Chanyeol shoved him away. He disappeared down the corridor, leaving Chanyeol standing there, seething. His heart was still racing as he pulled out his phone to check on N/a.
The final notes of the performance still lingered in the air as N/a gracefully exited the stage. Her fellow dancers, teachers, and staff flocked to her, offering praises, hugs, and congratulations. She should have felt elated, her heart soaring with the success of the night, but something inside her was unsettled. Her smile was strained as she exchanged pleasantries, her mind elsewhere. She kept glancing at the spot where Chanyeol had been seated, but it was still empty.
Where was he? What was he doing?
She excused herself from the crowd, weaving through the backstage chaos until she found a quieter corner. There was a small table with refreshments, and she grabbed a glass of water, hoping it would soothe her nerves. She lifted the glass to her lips, but as soon as she took a sip, something felt off. The taste was slightly metallic, bitter in a way she couldn’t quite place. She frowned, looking at the water.
“Maybe it’s just my nerves,” she thought, brushing it off. After all, her mind had been spinning with worry about Chanyeol all night. Her heart was racing, and it was hard to tell what was real and what was just the anxiety from performing. She drank the rest of the water, forcing herself to focus on the fact that everything had gone perfectly on stage. Yet, the unease lingered.
While N/a was backstage, Chanyeol had been moving through the dark corridors of the opera house, his instincts on high alert. His suspicions had been right. The man he’d been chasing was part of a group that had plans for tonight, though he didn’t know exactly what. When Chanyeol had grabbed him and slammed him against the wall, it was out of pure frustration and anger, he was done playing games.
But as soon as the man had disappeared into the shadows, a thought struck him. Had they already done something? His mind raced back to N/a. He hadn’t been by her side the entire night. What if something had already happened to her? The sudden chill in his chest made his stomach turn.
He texted Baekhyun to double-check the situation outside and hurried back toward the backstage area, his mind clouded with worry.
Backstage, N/a had returned to the crowd, smiling as her friends and teachers continued to congratulate her. Yet, the strange feeling from earlier wasn’t going away. In fact, her vision was starting to blur. She blinked several times, trying to clear her head. Maybe she was just exhausted. The rehearsals, the pressure of the performance, it was all catching up to her.
She smiled weakly at one of her fellow dancers who was complimenting her routine, but her legs felt unsteady. She swayed slightly, grabbing onto a nearby chair to steady herself. Something was wrong, but she couldn’t quite understand what it was.
“Are you okay?” someone asked, but their voice sounded distant, muffled as though it was underwater.
N/a opened her mouth to respond, but the words wouldn’t come. Her body felt heavy, like it wasn’t her own anymore. She reached up to rub her temple, trying to shake off the fog, but her hand trembled. Panic started to rise in her chest as her heart pounded louder in her ears.
“Chanyeol…” she whispered, her voice barely audible, as her vision swam.
Chanyeol was only a few steps away when he heard the commotion. He pushed through the crowd, his eyes immediately locking onto N/a, who was stumbling in place, looking disoriented. His heart dropped.
“N/a!” he called out, but she didn’t respond. Her eyes were glazed, her body swaying as though she could barely stand.
In a heartbeat, he was at her side, his strong arms catching her just as her legs gave out. She collapsed into his chest, her breathing shallow and rapid. Chanyeol’s panic surged as he held her, trying to get her to respond.
“N/a, talk to me. What’s wrong?” he demanded, his voice tight with fear.
But she didn’t answer. Her eyelids fluttered, and her body went limp in his arms. Her head lolled against his chest, her skin suddenly cold to the touch.
“No, no, no…” Chanyeol muttered, his heart pounding. His mind raced, trying to make sense of what was happening. He looked around, his sharp eyes scanning the room. His instincts kicked in, and suddenly, it all clicked, the bitter taste, the rumors of an attack, and now her sudden collapse. The water. It must have been poisoned.
He lifted her into his arms, holding her tightly, his face a mask of pure fury. Someone had dared to touch her. They had poisoned her, his N/a, with the same drugs he was trying to keep her away from. The cruel irony hit him like a sledgehammer.
Baekhyun was at his side in seconds, eyes wide with alarm. “What happened?”
“They got to her,” Chanyeol snarled through gritted teeth, his eyes blazing with a deadly calm. “Poisoned her. The water.”
Baekhyun’s expression darkened, and without another word, he pulled out his phone, barking orders to the rest of Chanyeol’s men.
Chanyeol cradled N/a closer to his chest, his voice low and deadly as he whispered in her ear, “I won’t let them hurt you. I’ll take care of this.”
But inside, he was terrified. He had promised to protect her, and now she was slipping through his fingers.
Chanyeol carried N/a through the dimly lit corridors of the opera house, his heart hammering in his chest. The coldness in his veins was quickly replaced by pure, unrelenting fury. How could they have gotten this close? How had they dared to poison her, the one person he had sworn to protect? His grip tightened on her fragile form as he rushed to one of his secure locations hidden in the opera house, a room only his closest men knew about. He carefully laid her down on the plush couch, his hands trembling ever so slightly.
“Baekhyun, watch her,” Chanyeol growled, standing up and glaring at his right-hand man. His voice was ice-cold, laced with barely contained rage. “Don’t let her out of your sight. I’m going after the bastard who did this.”
Baekhyun nodded, his face grim. “Be careful, Yeol.”
But there was no reasoning with Chanyeol in that moment. His mind was clouded with one thought: vengeance. He stormed out, his long strides filled with lethal intent, barely aware of his own men trying to give him updates on the situation. His eyes darkened as he made his way back to the place where he knew the poisoning had taken place. The one responsible wouldn’t live to see another day.
Chanyeol’s fury, however, was his downfall. In his blind anger, he missed the careful trap that had been laid for him. His enemies had been waiting for this moment, knowing that attacking N/a would send him spiraling out of control. They needed to strike at the heart of the man who had become untouchable in every other way.
He found the man responsible, one of his lower-level dealers, cowering in a back alley near the opera. Chanyeol wasted no time. With a snarl, he grabbed the man by the throat and slammed him against the brick wall.
“How dare you touch her?” Chanyeol’s voice was a deadly whisper, his grip tightening. The man gasped for air, his eyes wide with terror, but he wasn’t the only one afraid. Chanyeol’s fury burned so hot that he could barely think straight. His vision blurred, and for a moment, he was no longer the cold, calculated dealer, he was a man who had just lost the one good thing in his world.
He was distracted. Too distracted.
A sharp pain hit him from behind, a blow to the back of his head. His vision went black for a moment, his body staggering. As he fought to regain his senses, he realized with horror what had happened.
Chanyeol’s vision swam as he fought to stay upright, but the blow had thrown him off balance. He gritted his teeth, shaking his head to clear the fog. As he turned, ready to tear his attacker apart, he caught sight of several figures retreating into the shadows. His heart sank, a cold realization seeping into his bones.
They had distracted him. They had used his rage, his blind anger, against him.
And then it hit him ,N/a.
He sprinted back toward the secure room where he had left her, panic creeping up his spine. How could he have left her alone, even with Baekhyun guarding her? He pushed through the narrow hallways of the opera house, his chest tightening with every step. The moment he reached the door, a gut-wrenching silence greeted him.
The room was empty.
Baekhyun lay unconscious on the floor, blood seeping from a wound at the side of his head. Chanyeol’s heart dropped as his eyes darted around the room, searching for any sign of her. But there was nothing, no trace of N/a, no sign of a struggle. She was gone. They had taken her.
Chanyeol’s breath came in shallow, ragged gasps as reality set in. His hands balled into fists, and fury tore through him once again, but this time, it was laced with terror. They had her. The one person who wasn’t supposed to be part of this world, the one person he had sworn to protect with his life, she was in their hands now, and he had no idea where they had taken her.
“Baekhyun!” Chanyeol growled as he knelt down beside his friend, shaking him awake. “Where is she?”
Baekhyun groaned, blinking against the pain. “I—I don’t know… They hit me from behind. I tried to stop them, but…”
Chanyeol didn’t wait for him to finish. He grabbed his phone, calling Sehun and barking out orders, demanding that every resource they had be used to track her down. There was no way he would let them get away with this. They had no idea the kind of wrath they had just unleashed.
Meanwhile, N/a stirred. Her body felt heavy, like lead, and her mind was foggy, a blurry haze of confusion. She tried to focus, to remember where she was, but everything was jumbled. Her last clear memory was of Chanyeol, holding her in his arms after the performance. But now… now everything felt wrong.
She blinked, her vision slowly clearing. She was in a dimly lit room, not the opera house, not anywhere she recognized. Panic shot through her veins as she tried to move, but her body felt sluggish, uncooperative. The effects of the drug still lingered, clouding her thoughts.
Through the blur, she saw a figure in the room with her. Relief washed over her for a split second, Chanyeol? She tried to call out his name, but her voice was weak, barely a whisper.
The figure moved closer, and as her vision cleared further, her heart stopped. It wasn’t Chanyeol.
It was a man she had never seen before. His eyes were cold, calculating, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he watched her struggle to sit up. Her breath caught in her throat, terror gripping her tightly.
“Well, well… Looks like Sleeping Beauty is finally waking up,” the man sneered, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall. “You gave us quite the chase.”
N/a’s heart pounded in her chest. She tried to move again, but her limbs were too weak. “Who… who are you?” she managed to choke out, her voice shaking.
The man tilted his head, amusement flickering in his eyes. “That doesn’t matter. What matters is that you’re in our care now, darling. You see, you’re very valuable. To Chanyeol, at least.”
Her blood ran cold at the mention of his name. Chanyeol. Where was he? Did he know she was gone? Would he come for her?
The man seemed to read her mind, chuckling darkly. “Oh, don’t worry. He’ll come. He always does. But we’ll be ready for him.”
Chanyeol, back at the opera house, was spiraling. He paced back and forth, his fists clenching and unclenching, his eyes filled with a lethal rage. His phone rang, and it was Sehun.
“We found them,” Sehun’s voice was sharp, precise. “They’ve got her in one of the warehouses near the docks. They’re expecting you.”
“Good,” Chanyeol growled. “I’m on my way.”
As he raced toward the location, all his previous calculation and control had been replaced by something more primal. This wasn’t just business. This was personal. They had taken N/a, the one person who had become his anchor in a world full of chaos, and now he was ready to burn everything to the ground to get her back.
N/a struggled to stay calm, but her fear was growing by the second. She had no idea what these people wanted from her, or what they planned to do with her. Her thoughts kept going back to Chanyeol, was he okay? Was he hurt? And more than that… would he come for her?
As the minutes dragged on, the effects of the drug began to wear off more fully. She could move a little better now, her mind clearing enough to realize the true danger she was in. But before she could formulate any kind of plan, the door to the room creaked open.
And in walked another man. His presence was commanding, more dangerous than the first. He looked at her with a predatory grin.
“Looks like Chanyeol’s little ballerina is awake,” he said, his voice low and threatening. He stalked toward her slowly, deliberately, as if savoring the moment. “You have no idea how much fun we’re going to have with you.”
N/a’s heart raced, her fear rising as the man loomed over her. But just as he reached for her, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed through the hall outside.
Chanyeol had arrived.
And he was bringing hell with him.
N/a’s heart pounded in her chest as the man with the predatory grin loomed over her, his knife gleaming in the dim light of the room. He leaned closer, his cold breath brushing her skin as he taunted her.
“You’re just a pawn in all this, you know,” he whispered, his voice sending chills down her spine. “But Chanyeol cares about you. And that makes you valuable to us.”
The blade danced across her exposed skin, not deep enough to be fatal but enough to send sharp stings of pain through her body. She clenched her teeth, determined not to give them the satisfaction of seeing her break, even as her body trembled under the assault. Her white costume, once a symbol of her hard-earned success, was now stained with her own blood.
The men surrounding her sneered, threatening to do more damage if she didn’t tell them everything they wanted to know about Chanyeol’s operations, his weak points, his allies. But she knew nothing about his world, and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to. She couldn’t tell them what they wanted, and with every refusal, they carved another shallow cut into her flesh, each one a warning.
“We won’t kill you,” the leader hissed. “But we’ll hurt you just enough so that when Chanyeol comes, he’ll see what we’ve done to you. And trust me, he’ll regret ever crossing us.”
Chanyeol was a man possessed. Fury was the only thing guiding him now as he geared up for the rescue. The moment Sehun had confirmed the location, there was no hesitation. His entire arsenal was at his disposal, guns, knives, whatever it would take to get N/a back. This wasn’t a business deal. This was war.
As he and his men approached the warehouse, his mind was a blur of rage and guilt. He should’ve never let her get involved in his world. But now she was, and he would do whatever it took to bring her back!
The moment he entered the warehouse, he moved like a shadow, silent and lethal. His gun was out, and every man who crossed his path was shot without hesitation. The first guard barely had time to register Chanyeol’s presence before a bullet tore through his chest. More followed, but Chanyeol was a force of nature. There was no room for mercy, not tonight. The thought of N/a, bleeding, hurt, terrified, fueled his every movement.
Baekhyun and Sehun had his back, covering him as more enemies poured into the warehouse, but Chanyeol barely registered them. His focus was solely on her. He tore through the building with brutal efficiency, leaving a trail of blood and bodies in his wake.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he kicked open a door and froze.
There she was.
His heart shattered at the sight before him. N/a was slumped against a chair, her once-beautiful white costume now soaked in blood. Shallow cuts covered her arms, her legs, her face, everywhere. Her skin was pale, her lips trembling, but her eyes flickered up to meet his. Despite the pain, there was something fierce in her gaze, something that told him she hadn’t given up.
Chanyeol’s chest constricted, tears pricking his eyes. He had seen a lot of horror in his life, but this? This was the first time he felt powerless. His anger roared inside him, but there was no time for fury now. He had to get her out.
“N/a,” he breathed, rushing to her side. He wrapped her trembling body in his arms, holding her as tightly as he could without hurting her more. “I’m so sorry. I’m here now. I’m not going to let anything happen to you. I swear.”
N/a’s head rested against his chest, her voice weak but steady. “As long as you’re with me… I’m okay.” But even as she spoke, Chanyeol could feel her weakening in his arms. She was losing too much blood.
“Stay with me,” Chanyeol whispered, his voice cracking. “Stay with me, please.”
Just then, the door behind them burst open. More enemies flooded into the room, but Baekhyun and Sehun were ready. Gunfire erupted around them, but all Chanyeol could think about was getting N/a to safety. He cradled her in his arms, lifting her gently, and made a run for the exit.
“We need to get her to a hospital,” Sehun shouted, firing another shot at their attackers.
Chanyeol nodded, his mind racing. He carried her through the chaos, his heart pounding louder with every second. Her breaths were shallow, her body limp against his. He couldn’t lose her. Not like this.
Outside, his car was already waiting. He laid her in the back seat, her pale skin and the blood staining the white costume tearing at his soul. Baekhyun jumped into the driver’s seat, speeding through the streets as Chanyeol held her tightly in the back, trying to keep pressure on her wounds.
“N/a, stay with me,” Chanyeol whispered, tears slipping down his face as he stroked her hair. “Don’t leave me. I can’t lose you.”
Her eyes fluttered open for a moment, a faint smile touching her lips. “You won’t. I’m… I’m stronger than I look.”
But the blood kept coming, and soon enough, her eyes drifted shut again. Chanyeol’s heart raced in panic, his hands stained with her blood as they pressed against her side. He couldn’t stop the tears now. She was the only good thing in his life, and he would destroy anyone who had done this to her.
At the hospital, they rushed her into surgery immediately. Chanyeol paced the waiting room, his fists clenching and unclenching, his mind racing with the fury and fear of losing her. Sehun and Baekhyun stood nearby, watching him carefully, knowing that any wrong move could send him spiraling again.
Hours felt like days as he waited. Every minute that passed without news tore at his already frayed nerves. He had been through battles, wars in the shadows, but this was different. This was N/a, his N/a. And for the first time in his life, he was powerless to help her.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctor came out, her face serious but calm.
“She’s stable,” the doctor said, her voice soft. “It was close, but she’s going to be okay. She’ll need time to recover, but she’ll pull through.”
Chanyeol collapsed into a chair, relief flooding through him so intensely that he could hardly breathe. Tears spilled down his face as he finally let himself feel the full weight of what had happened.
He had almost lost her. And he knew, from that moment on, he would do whatever it took to make sure that never happened again.
The sterile smell of the hospital filled Chanyeol’s senses as he stood in the doorway of the dimly lit room. His heart ached at the sight before him, N/a, lying in the bed, her body covered in bandages, her once-vibrant skin now pale and bruised. The soft beep of the machines monitoring her heartbeat was the only sound that filled the room, a reminder that she was still here, still alive.
But barely.
His breath caught in his throat as he stepped closer, each step feeling heavier than the last. She looked so fragile, so unlike the determined, strong girl he had come to know. Her white ballet costume, once elegant and pristine, had been replaced by the stark white of the hospital gown, her body swathed in dressings and gauze.
Chanyeol stood by her bedside, staring down at her, his large hands trembling as he reached for hers. Her fingers felt cold, too cold. His mind swirled with guilt and anger, he had failed her. The one person who brought light into his dark world, the one person who never should have been touched by the violence and bloodshed of his life, had nearly been taken from him.
Tears burned at the back of his eyes as he lowered himself into the chair beside her bed, gently taking her hand in his. He squeezed it softly, his thumb brushing over her skin, careful not to hurt her. His head dropped, and the tears that he had been holding back for so long finally broke free, streaming down his face silently as he stared at their intertwined hands.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “I’m so sorry, N/a.”
His chest tightened as he fought back a sob. He had never felt this weak, this lost. He was Chanyeol, the ruthless king of his world, feared and respected by everyone who knew him. But here, in this hospital room, he felt small, helpless.
“I promised to protect you,” he choked out, his voice barely audible. “And I couldn’t. I failed.”
His tears dripped onto the bed, mixing with the bloodstains that hadn’t yet been washed away. He clenched his jaw, the image of her blood-soaked costume burned into his memory. He wanted to destroy everyone who had done this, who had dared to hurt her, but right now, all he could do was sit here, holding her hand, begging for forgiveness.
“I never should have let you get involved in my world,” he continued, his voice cracking. “You deserve so much better than this, so much better than me.”
He looked up at her face, her peaceful expression, and his heart shattered all over again. Even in her fragile state, she was beautiful, too beautiful, too pure for the life he had dragged her into. And yet, she had stayed with him, even when she had every reason to run.
The thought of losing her had torn him apart. But now, as he sat there, holding her hand, the weight of his emotions crashed over him, leaving him breathless.
“I love you,” he whispered, his voice trembling. “I love you more than anything, N/a.”
The words came out unbidden, raw and unfiltered. He hadn’t planned to say them, hadn’t even admitted them to himself until this moment, but now that they were out, there was no taking them back. He leaned forward, pressing his forehead to her hand, tears streaming down his face as he finally allowed himself to break.
“I love you,” he repeated, his voice hoarse. “And I’m going to protect you, no matter what it takes. I’ll keep you safe, I swear. You’re the only good thing in my life, and I can’t lose you. I won’t.”
His hands tightened around hers, his heart pounding in his chest. She didn’t stir, still lost in the haze of her injuries and the medication keeping her unconscious, but that didn’t matter. He would say it again when she woke up, a thousand times if he had to. He would tell her every day, every moment, just how much she meant to him.
For the first time in his life, Chanyeol allowed himself to be vulnerable. The walls he had built around himself for so long crumbled, leaving him bare. All the cold, calculated decisions, the violence, the ruthlessness, it all felt insignificant now. All that mattered was her.
He stayed by her side for hours, his hand never leaving hers, watching the steady rise and fall of her chest as she slept. The tears had long since dried, but his heart still ached, his love for her overwhelming him in ways he hadn’t thought possible.
As the night stretched on, he whispered promises to her, words he had never spoken to anyone.
“I’ll be better for you,” he murmured, his voice soft. “I’ll make sure you never have to go through this again.”
Outside the window, the first rays of dawn began to break through the darkness, casting a soft glow over the room. Chanyeol sat back in the chair, his eyes never leaving her face, silently vowing that he would never let anyone hurt her again.
As dawn crept into the room, casting a pale light over the hospital bed, Chanyeol’s grip on N/a’s hand tightened. He had barely moved from her side all night, his eyes fixed on her face, praying for her to wake up. The rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor was the only sound that reassured him she was still there, still fighting. His world, cold and ruthless for so long, suddenly felt vulnerable.
A soft groan escaped N/a’s lips, and Chanyeol’s heart leapt. She was stirring, her eyelids fluttering as she slowly came back to consciousness. His pulse quickened, a mix of relief and anxiety rushing through him. He watched as her eyes blinked open, dazed and heavy with the weight of the drugs still in her system. Her gaze moved sluggishly across the room until it finally found him.
“Chanyeol…?” Her voice was weak, barely more than a whisper, but it was enough to make his heart swell with emotion.
He leaned in closer, his hand still holding hers gently, as if afraid she might slip away if he held her too tightly.
“I’m here,” he said softly, his voice low but thick with emotion. “I’m right here.”
N/a’s brows furrowed as she tried to recall the events that led her here, but the effort made her head ache. She glanced down at her body, noticing the bandages, and her eyes widened in fear.
“What… what happened?” she asked, her voice shaky.
Chanyeol’s jaw clenched, the memory of what she had gone through making his blood boil. But he forced himself to stay calm, not wanting to overwhelm her. He brushed a stray lock of hair from her forehead, his touch featherlight.
“You were hurt,” he said, his voice soft but tinged with an edge of anger. “They took you, tried to hurt you to get to me. But you’re safe now. I got you out.”
Her eyes searched his, still clouded with confusion, but she could see the guilt and the torment etched into his features. She wanted to say something, to tell him she was okay, but her body felt heavy, and the words wouldn’t come. Instead, she gave him a small nod, her hand instinctively tightening around his.
“I’m sorry…” he breathed, his voice breaking slightly. “I’m so sorry, N/a. This never should have happened to you.”
N/a’s heart clenched at the sight of him, the powerful, untouchable Chanyeol, now sitting by her bedside, broken. She had never seen him like this, vulnerable, emotional. She squeezed his hand, trying to reassure him, even though she was still in pain herself.
“Chanyeol,” she whispered, “I’m okay.”
But her words did little to soothe the storm raging inside him. He had seen the blood, the bruises, the cuts, evidence of what they had done to her. Every mark on her body was a reminder of his failure to protect her. He couldn’t shake the image of her lying there in the warehouse, her white costume stained red with blood.
His throat tightened, and without thinking, he pressed her hand to his lips, closing his eyes as he let out a shaky breath. “You don’t deserve any of this,” he muttered against her skin. “You deserve so much better.”
N/a’s heart swelled with emotion as she watched him, realizing just how deeply he cared for her. It wasn’t just guilt, it was love. She could see it in the way he looked at her, the way he was holding her as if he couldn’t bear to let go. The realization made her chest tighten with a mix of emotions, but before she could say anything, exhaustion overtook her again, and she drifted back into sleep.
Chanyeol stayed there for hours, watching her as she slept, occasionally running his thumb over her knuckles, his mind a whirl of conflicting emotions. He had made a vow to himself, to her, that he would protect her, no matter what. And he intended to keep that promise. But now, more than ever, he realized that his world was too dangerous for someone like her.
And yet, the thought of losing her, of letting her go, was unbearable.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he reluctantly pulled it out, seeing a message from Baekhyun.
Baekhyun: “We’ve taken care of the guys who were after her. Sehun and I made sure none of them will bother you again.”
Chanyeol exhaled, relieved but still on edge. He couldn’t take any more chances. He needed to find a way to keep N/a safe, no matter what it took. And even if that meant tearing apart the world he had built around him, he would do it. For her.
As the night wore on and the first rays of morning sunlight began to filter through the blinds, Chanyeol leaned back in the chair, his eyes never leaving N/a’s peaceful face.
“I love you,” he whispered again, the words feeling both like a confession and a vow. “I’ll never let anything happen to you again.”
For the first time in his life, Chanyeol wasn’t thinking about deals, power, or his empire. All he could think about was her, and how he would do anything to keep her safe, even if it meant walking away from everything he had ever known.

mare!Chanyeol x Reader: night mare.
Wordcount: 936
Warnings: more or less direct mentions of death and violence
The AU is a bit based on the vampire concept, but since it’s not totally that, I thought about putting it under a different label. So it’s not 100% what mythological mares are, but there’s a clear inspiration.
“Who are you?”
“Don’t think. Go back to sleep.”
“What’s your name?”
“Does it matter?”
“Are you going to hurt me?”
“Yes.”
“A lot?”
“More than you could think. But you won’t feel pain. So go back to sleep.”
* * *
You wake up in the late morning; your neck is stiff, shoulders just won’t move the way you want them to, your head is pounding – did you oversleep again? It’s a tricky one. Sleep can be as much of a friend as it can be an enemy. What did you dream about? You feel like something happened ever since you laid down – you didn’t “teleport” into the morning, there’s something you’d like to remember. Did you wake up at night? It happened more often than not, but usually, you’d just check the hour and go back to sleep, and you wouldn’t remember much of it later, anyway. Maybe that was the case this time as well – maybe you were just dozing in and out, maybe there was not much to remember after all, maybe that’s why you’re feeling so pitiful now.
You force yourself up, the day’s routine begins – a bit late, but still one that can’t be omitted. Doing all the small things that keep you in shape, wrapping them up with the breakfast – oh, God, you’re so hungry. You could eat all that’s in the fridge, but you quickly tell yourself that it’s just because you slept so long, meaning your stomach has been empty for longer than usually. It’s not an excuse to eat more, though – overeating, just like oversleeping, will bring more harm than good.
What’s today’s agenda? You can’t recall. You check the calendar in your phone for any details – it’s empty, for once. What a surprise. It means you can relax, maybe get some shopping done, maybe meet with someone – if only that headache didn’t deprive you from any remaining motivation to act.
All you want to do is to lay down and maybe try to wipe the tiredness with even more sleep – will two minuses make a plus? You wish, but your hopes aren’t high. But the headache just won’t go away on its own, what’s better to do than trying to rest it off, then.
You turn on the heating – your body doesn’t seem to want to warm up on its own – and then lay down on the sofa in your living room, wrapping yourself in the blanket. It feels cozy, lying feels natural, the mattress feels comfortable and it takes just a few minutes before you let the darkness swallow you up.
* * *
“Why do you keep waking up? I told you not to.”
Is it really your fault? – that’s the first thought you have. You woke up because something did, in fact, cause you to wake up. How can you be the one to blame?
“Sorry.” It doesn’t sound genuine, but you feel awake enough to muster the small amount of sarcasm, even before your eyes fully open, even before you start to get along with your surroundings.
The living room is the same as you remember it, maybe with the difference of there being dark clouds outside the windows, causing the whole room to darken. It’s warm at least, you think, but soon realize, it’s not just the heater that’s keeping you warm; another body is tangled with yours, lying behind you and holding you, bashing in your warmth and sharing its own in return.
“Who are you?”
“Don’t think. Go back to sleep.”
“No. Answer the question.”
You try to push yourself off the sofa, but the more you try, the more pointless it seems – as if you weren’t meant to be awake, as if you should just go back to sleep and forget anything happened. But you fight this instinct, you kick around until you are free and your body falls onto the floor next to the sofa with a harsh thud. Something hurts from the impact – your shoulder or your hips, you can’t tell for sure. You think you clearly hit your head, too.
“Hm.” He stares at you with disapproval on his face; he’s displeased, maybe even disappointed. You try to get to your feet and flee as soon as possible – fruitlessly, because once his hand reaches and holds your jaw, keeping you in place, the whole strength you had just washes away. The touch is warm. Should it feel as comforting as it does? Probably no. Your eyes slip closed and your body slowly becomes limp again. His hand is all that’s keeping you up straight, your arms fall to your sides, your breath slows down. “That’s better.”
“Are you going to hurt me?” You feel too weak to even say it clearly, but you know he understood.
He lifts his eyebrows, his hand pulls you forward, and you have no choice but to follow for your own comfort. Your neck aches when he tugs your head around as he wishes, placing you where he wants you to be – and then leans in, the proximity closing.
“Yes” he breathes into your face. You squeeze your eyes, fearful and bashful.
“A-a lot?”
There’s a pang of pain in your head, echoing through your skull and weakening you, ridding you off your own existence, the life falling apart, small pieces of your being scattered like shattered glass, the sensations and reality – dissolving and fading into black.
The pain loses meaning, and so does any of your will remaining, the spirit soon loses the fight and your mind becomes as limp as your body.
“I’m going to devour you.”
Please, reblog if you enjoyed!

L’allodola
Pairing: Chanyeol x Reader
Warnings: mentions of sexual content, strong language, infidelity, slight angst?
Word Count: 3.3k
Summary: A night of celebration melts in mistakes which give rise a world made of gold in the delicate light of an Italian morning, so easily broken by reality. You weren’t supposed to be with him, at least not now, not here, and not when you're married.
A|N—was working on this for so long and could not figure out a tasteful way to end it. Hope you like it!!
The golden showers of the sun drizzled your skin. Permeating the windows and casting the most delicate glow over your soft figure. A hand graced your silk shielded hip with a chiseled poise of Bernini. A warden he slept defending the volumes of you with his eyes closed, one robust arm painted over your dreaming frame. A halcyon picture of two lovers saturated in a new day’s light. The gold reflecting on individual bristles of your lashes bounced as promises of the night prior evaporated from your dream soaked state.
A huff of air was forced from your chest as the corners of your lungs began to itch at the sensation of Chanyeol’s angelic grip. Even then, the exhale was not enough to rid of the heaviness in the organ. The bitter trickle of guilt slid down your spine as you became increasingly conscious. The reruns of last night swimming through your head making your brow furrow in heartbreak.
He was cruel. His touch, his song, his worship of each square centimeter of skin encasing you, and his cruelly gentle caress of your body as if a lover’s touch. Except it was not a lover’s touch, nor song, nor worship. His caress was something you relished awaiting the lark’s cry. For when the world awoke so would he, and you would leave his hold.
His warm hand with fingertips burning impressions into you. Impressions that would be felt when you returned to your actual lover’s arms at the airport. Impressions that would burn after Chanyeol went to his own home and life, which has become increasingly separate from yours. With the prospects of last night your title of ‘best friends’ is no longer applicable. You had an affair with your business partner on a business trip in Milan and realizing this you refused to panic. You refused to be rational and leave his hold. Refused to wake him and discuss what happened. Refused to admit it was a mistake.
However, the man who waited for you overseas was a mistake that is.
No.
“Waited,” would be an embellishment on his character.
His care you had now realized was a facade in itself. Your husband’s front masked as compassion was gloriously boasted by you.
For months you have not felt until this moment. No gushing emotions of joy which you should feel in a relationship. Only, the trickery of your own mind begging for a pair of attentive eyes bringing you to a mirage and nothing more.
You walked yourself into an illusion of feelings, but you did not belong to him.
You did not belong to him in the way you belonged to the man holding you now. You did not solve your husband like you did the puzzle of Chanyeol, fitting into his soul like you were carved specifically for his.
No.
You were Chanyeol’s in his sleeping hold as he stirred. His breathing heavier before he tugged you closer into him. You felt the pattern of his breath on your neck. You felt the stinging burns his limbs left on you. Being overseas in a five-star suite with him. In a bed with silk sheets and gold pouring through the curtains. These are all images you could not have conjured months ago.
Chanyeol, your best friend, and the man you started your company with. The fool who let himself into your apartment as he pleased to keep you company when your husband was gone on business trips. The fool with stupidly adorable big ears and big round eyes which bargained with your’s last night. Yet also the beacon in negotiations with an aura which drew in investors. The monument of confidence and your driving force from nine to five. He was right, in this moment, in this world where you were the center.
For now, you wanted time to stop. You wanted him to hold you longer and feel you more. To stroke your hair and trace the fragments of your chest that he marked. You wanted to wake up with him and still be his. To hear what he would say and learn him this way. Each hair on your body reached for him but you stayed unmoving in his hold, afraid to wake him. If he would wake he’d see the time. He’d see that in two hours you’d need to be at the airport.
You wished so badly the clock on the nightstand which your gaze unluckily met was wrong, so that you could turn in his hold and watch the pout of his lip. Memorize the amity of his eyes, and nose. Get drunk on the details lining his face like how you did on the celebratory champagne last night.
You pictured him. His round cheeks pressed against the pillow in stark innocence and dark curls endearing his forehead. You pictured him smiling when he woke. Him smiling when you turn to meet his eyes.
So, to savor this freedom, this world in which you were the center and in which he was the sun, you stayed. You stayed in his consummate hold even when he woke. You stayed enraptured by the warmth of his arms as he rose from the bed, displaying his august build with red trails trickling down the pale canvas. Pieces of you, marks of your visit to his body were scorched into his skin. Prints of purple and scarlet giving his broad chest the appearance of a sunset. He wore them better than any designer suit that made its way into his office.
You stayed with him, hidden from the Italian streets and the morning air in his laying hold even as you dressed in his white button-up. The white button-up which you tore from him like wrapping paper on a present and he was your gift.
You thought of him as this, a present, while still in his arms even when he was in a different room. That is exactly what he was in this moment and many others: your gift. In the sense that his urging eyes and wide smile pulled you from the grayscale life of a wife, into the technicolor of you. In the sense that temporarily, just temporarily, he pulls you to be who you are: a CEO and mastermind, but nothing less than a charismatic human who has various functions beyond business. However, just as with a gift, his presence was ephemeral, and you would slip back into the monotone of your shared household.
These thoughts, you did not delegate them time before now. You didn’t allow them to barge in on you in your home eleven hours away. There was no space for doubt as a businesswoman because everything was built on confidence. You had no space to fit any doubt into your schedule considering the minefield called the market. Rather than a minefield, to you, it was something of an exhilarating challenge. A mind game, a test of your intellect with Chanyeol by your side.
Nonetheless, now they wandered your mind. Your business in Milan was over, on paper and in computer files. Still, one thing stuck to you like sap which even if you tried washing off, would stay sticky on your skin.
This was a mistake, you were not supposed to sleep with your business partner, and you were not supposed to sleep with your best friend. You were by the means of social standards not allowed to sleep with anyone but your husband.
The fact stands, though, that this, no, that he felt entirely unreal. The way Chanyeol strode around the kitchen, glorious and shirtless, serving you breakfast while you wore his clothing, was so undeniably right. This felt right and you for the first time considered if this wasn’t a mistake, but a wake-up call blaring at you to see between greyscale and technicolor. To picture the days which your “loving” husband touched you leaving burns on your skin the way Chanyeol did, or laced his voice with the same saccharine sound Chanyeol did as he spoke to you now. He spoke to you now—
“Y/n?” His familiar fruity voice resonated in your ears.
“Hmmm?” You hummed innocently in response as if this were a casual morning and you had not just cheated on your husband.
“Are you going to eat?” He inquired, shoveling more of the prefect omelet on his plate into his mouth. He smirked when you didn’t answer and just continued to observe him. Chanyeol leaned over to your plate, cutting a piece of your omelet and holding it up for you to eat.
Your eyes never left his as you let him feed you. You were suddenly fascinated by the crease in his eyes when he chuckled as he fed you. You absorbed every lining to his face and every blemish to adorn it. By the time you memorized the freckle on his nose, the folding of his lip, and the pattern of his iris, your breakfast was gone. This was right. This was how it should be, this is what you deserved.
A taciturn agreement was made that guilt was a feeling to meet in about fourteen hours, when you’d return home.
This was right. The way you ignored time and sauntered in the morning sun on the balcony. The way Chanyeol wrapped himself around you from behind, kissing a shoulder left bare by the loose fit of his shirt. His slow whispers sedating you as you both swayed to an imaginary rhythm. Your tranquil smile as he spoke of the scenery and of simple wonders. It was right for how little long you had.
You felt as if you could grow glorious wings and fly towards the sun with Chanyeol, yet neither of you would burn. For he felt as if it was him keeping the world illuminated and warm, him opening the flowers by morning, and him creating wondrous shadows about the world. In this world, in your world, he was the sun. your world of geocentric nonsense somehow being correct because it was Chanyeol.
He called your name, his voice deep and sweet. You could imagine his voice tasting like caramel were it tangible. You responded, twisting slightly in his grip to meet his eyes.
“Ti amo” he became quiet speaking this to you. Breathing out the two syllables and if they were his dying words he would have been happy saying them then. A relieving sigh of a confession evaporating from his lungs to condense in the world around you. This air felt good to you, it felt inviting and caring, it felt like what you imagined a husband’s words would feel like.
Greed.
It coursed through you in a way it shouldn’t, making your skin shine and your heart beat for more.
Consumed in gluttony, grasping onto each second of this moment as if you had no sense to stop and turn around, no good judgment left in your burnt heart. Appetitiveness left to devour you further, turning you from human to beast. Hungry for something you should not have.
Greed. This drug circulating in your body, making your conscious light with hunger. Mouthwatering desire outlining each crevice of you. But that’s all it was, a drug. It was not right. It couldn’t be when you felt like you had died and been plucked from the ground by the delicate hand of god, placing you in the castles of clouds above.
It was wrong.
Your hopeful gaze dimmed and you frowned, “Oggi in figura, domani in sepoltura.”
The words were simple, dark, cutting and you knew he understood you. Of course he did, he was a genius, he was perfect. Italian wasn’t a challenge for him when he first approached the style.
Today in person, tomorrow in the grave.
And today you had been digging yourself a grave to the second circle of hell. No, third. Possibly fourth if you lose yourself again. Your husband was home, but wearing the mask of Lucifer. You felt better thinking of him this way. It was greed again, unraveling around your limbs like armor. A shield from truth.
Yet the longer you stayed in Chanyeol’s arms there you analyzed the anomaly of him. The enigma of now. How it was impossible for him not to be right and true when his thick cock filled you that way. When all things tactile charred you red. When his lips, god his lips, took yours in a supernova so powerful it paralyzed your lungs. When he worshipped and you returned the favor. Dancing rounds until you’d burn each other out.
Flushed. Fucked out. Completely his. And completely yours.
“Y/n,” Chanyeol rasped, turning you in his hold so you’d face him, “I’ll tell you now.”
He paused, to look at you. At your lips, how they were still wet from when Chanyeol fed you fruit, then tasting the sweetness left on your lips himself.
“What I feel, is real,” he breathed, still cradling you, tucking a strand of loose hair away. “I know you’re hovering from guilt to lust to doubt and back, but I want you to know, I need you to know.”
His big eyes glazed over in affection, his brow furrowed in heart-wrenching devotion. “I’ve fallen in love with my partner, my best friend. The woman I see every morning when I walk to my office and her mind that has me scattered like dust among the stars. I am in love with you.”
As the words poured from his lips, they seemed to muffle the chatter of Italy until it was just you, and him; the rest of the world gone mute. His voice hung in the air around you, swelling to fill it, taking place the oxygen until all you heard and felt and breathed were his words, still hanging unanswered.
Greed.
A whisper, small, shaky, scared, it came out.
“Chanyeol.” He was close, too close yet not nearly close enough at the same time. The distance between your lips to his and your eyelids seemed to decrease proportionally, and you thought it briefly ironic how mathematical this can all be.
Distances. Your lips and his lips. Your bottom lashes and top lashes. Your noses, hearts. Time in itself. Everything was shrinking in a related aspect and for the first time, it struck you.
This proportionality, this relatedness, and dependence perhaps. As you got closer to him and time slipped by, effectively you only became closer and closer to the moment you’d get home, where your husband was. So, if you’d only be getting pulled to Chanyeol as you were pulled home by the greed of father time, this ending could be one of gold.
Although arbitrary, the transverse proof lightened your heart. No causation nor correlation nor statistical proof that you were so used to. Though, you could feel and as a result know that this was correct. A right move in the ebb and flow of the market, a play sure of success.
He kissed you, soft and careful as if it was the first time. Prudent not to demoralize you.
Letting go, Chanyeol’s warm eyes met with yours in a crestfallen gaze. He brought his lips up to your forehead, placing a velvety kiss there. “I’m sorry.” His words were choked and shattered.
An exhale met his neck as he rested his chin on your head. It was audible, so much so he pulled away to study you and reassure you are fine.
“You should be,” you whispered, prurient but sound, “for making me ache alone for this long.”
“Who is to say you were alone?” Chanyeol spoke voice coarse and hot.
“I ached and ached, longing for you while married. How pitiful.”
“Pitiful, I disagree. I’d like to call it bold. You’ve always been this way, though,” he paused, gaze intensifying, “Haven’t you?”
“I’m afraid you’re right Mr. Park,” your voice became lighter with each word as your dance of axioms perpetuated, “Bold as bold can be.”
“Prove it.” He was short, nonchalant but commanding as his fingers pressed into you.
“I love you.”
He smirked, though you could see his elated irises shaking behind his front. You saw the joy spiraling through his system and fireworks exploding in his mind at your response.
In that moment your lips connected you felt as if your husband did not exist anymore. As if he was erased from the face of the Earth. Deleted like a bug in this game.
And Chanyeol was the prize, your prize.
Your kiss deepened and eventually you had jumped into his grip to wrap your legs around him as he walked into the suite. His large hands cupped your ass perfectly.
He pulled away briefly to glance at the signature Rolex Daytona decorating his left wrist. He sighed at the time.
“We’re gonna miss the plane.”
You pulled away, arms wrapped around his neck, studying him. You moved your lips to his ear, “How unfortunate.”
You continued. You didn’t stop him. You didn’t stop him then nor for the next week.
Loving Chanyeol in the rich sun of Italy as you eat at small restaurants on narrow streets and wander cobblestone walkways hands clasped together. You loved each other when you took a train to Venice and rented gondola just for the two of you. You loved him when you got off at a less crowded island, Murano it was called, and perused the glasswork it was known for before residing in a quaint restaurant on the water. You loved him as his million-dollar smile flashed for you and only you as he became ecstatic about the Seafood Pasta you ate, claiming its the best he’s ever had, considering all the Michelin grade dining he’s come across. You agreed, much more so because it was a Seafood Pasta you ate with him, alone, on an island with fewer tourists, where nobody knew you.
He loved you as you pondered the setting sun from the gondola. He loved you as you wrote tragic beauty with your lips as the sunset became a story by your description. As you painted on each hue with each word and pulled the sun in and towards you when phrasing your presence in that very moment, with him.
“I don’t want to go home.” You mused resting your head on his chest as his arms wrapped around you to hold yours. “This feels like home, the ground here is embracing and light, truthful and kind and real, so very real. I don’t want to go back.”
“I’m not going anywhere so long as you’re here,” he rasped, “You are my home.”
You smiled and turned in his arms, “Continue,” you indulged, batting your eyelashes playfully.
“Y/N you’re everything that made me. Every star and every planet that tells stories of our creation, you are them. You are the sunshine which bronzes my arms in a warm hug when its cold and the rain that soothes my burning aches. You are the air I breathe and I think that had we left a week ago, I wouldn’t have been able to breathe as we part at the airport. You are my love, my one person, dare I call you, my purpose. You give me essence, and you revive my lungs from their frigid paralyzed state in the nine-to-five. You are everything that ever made me.”
You grinned, tears welling in bright eyes as you giggled. “I love you.” You whispered a tear falling.
His thumb came up to take the tear away and place a delicate kiss where it once was.
The sky was now purple and deep with luxury as the walkways of Venice became less dense.
He kissed you, tenderly, slowly and then quietly, as if not to scare away the cloak of dark sky that’d been hiding you, bargained,
“Be mine.”

Class Clown (P2)
Genre: Fluff
Characters: Chanyeol, y/n
Word count: 16,600 characters
Part 1 here!
I am really proud of part 2! I actually got really into it and wrote way more than I thought I would. I hope everyone likes it!
Summary: You promised a date with Chanyeol and now that it was the day of that promise, you were panicking. Truthfully you had never been on a date before, and you were nervous. Not because of Chanyeol, no. He made you feel more at ease and comfortable than you had ever felt before. What had you on edge was the fact that you had no idea what going on a date was like, and you were an over thinker.
Saturday rolled around, the day you promised a date at the Park with Chanyeol. The Park... Chanyeol. Park Chanyeol? You chuckled to yourself absently. A couple of days had passed since Chanyeol asked you out and you hadn’t really seen much of him since then. He was around, but the both of you were always busy. Your date was in the late afternoon and you had time to kill, so the best course of action would have to be going to see Mandy.
Standing in front of your best friend’s dorm room, you knocked quickly on the door, palms a little damp due to your nervous demeanor. . You hadn’t mentioned anything to her about your encounter with Chanyeol after you two had parted ways on Wednesday and you knew you should have, but you just didn’t want to deal with her grilling you on the topic. Unfortunately, that was no longer avoidable, because you needed her help.
“Y/N!” Mandy shouted as she opened the door and wrapped her arms tightly around your shoulders. You laughed and squeezed her just as tightly. “What brings you to my humble abode?” her voice was a terrible immitation of what she thought a wealthy person probably sounded like. Stepping inside, Mandy pulled you into the room.
The walls were decorated with dream catchers and taped up posters of colorful flowers and crystals. Her bed was decorated in intricately designed elephant stuffed animals and multi-colored blankets. She was a down to earth, spiritual type of person. It was one of the things you cherished about her the most.
You plopped down onto her bed and laid back into her stuffed animal pile. “Chanyeol asked me out on a date.”
Rip it off like a band-aid, you thought. The faster you got it off of your chest the easier it would be coming out.
Mandy paused as if taking in this information. “... Y/N!! Do you know how lucky you are?! He is SO cute!” your friend squealed in delight. “You have to tell me everything. How did it happen? What did he say to you? when did it happen?” Excitement was shining in her eyes.
A groan of embarrassment left your throat and you covered your face with her pillow, an attempt to hide your burning cheeks. After a moment, you removed the pillow and sat up, relaying the story for her. “After you went to class on Wednesday I went to work at the cafe. It was a long and rough shift, so I decided to go to the library after my shift.” Mandy adjusted herself on her beanbag chair, legs crossed and hands resting in front of her. “Chanyeol was sitting there reading a book, which I didn’t expect, because-”
“Because you think all he does is party and goof off?” Mandy raised a brow with an accusing tone of voice.
You sighed. “Yes, because I thought he was the type of guy who didn’t pay attention and just wasted time in school.” She rolled her eyes at you. “y/n, you need to stop judging a book by its cover. Chanyeol seems like a genuinely sweet guy. You had never spoken to him before, you shouldn’t judge him so harshly.”
You heard this from her a lot, but for the first time you thought maybe she was right. “I know, I know, can I please finish my story?” You pouted, not enjoying being the subject of judgement.
“Sorry, go ahead.” Mandy said with a soft smile.
“THANK you.” You cleared your throat dramatically, as if greatly burdened by her interruption, earning a chuckle and an eye roll from her.
“He was sitting there and reading a book. When he saw me come in he had this giant smile on his face...” You reflected on this moment, feeling your heart swell in your chest and butterflies in your stomach. “He stood up and knocked his chair over, it was so cute Mandy. He got embarrassed and apologized to the Librarian.” Mandy seemed to be genuinely listening to you and enjoying how passionate you felt about this. She has never seen you like this before, and she was so happy for you, it almost made her emotional.
“We talked a bit about what he was doing there and he called himself a super hero” you chuckled. “I teased him about it, saying he shouldn’t go around telling anybody who asks his secret. Then that lead to him saying he needs to get to know me so he can trust me with it, and asked me on a date. He was so cute when I said yes and- Mandy, I don’t know what to do.”
Your friend’s big smile faded ever so slightly, “What do you mean you don’t know what to do? Go on that date, of course!”
“No, no, of course I will! It is just... I have never been on a date before. I don’t... know what to wear or... I don’t know what I am doing, Mandy, I am so nervous!” You pouted, covering your face with the pillow again and pretending to smother yourself.
Mandy let out a loud laugh, which you expected, yet still groaned at. “Well where are you going for your date?!”
Removing the pillow, you sighed. “He asked to take me to the park. He said there was something he wanted to show me.”
“Oh really?” She wiggled her eyebrows, earning a slap to the shoulder from you and a laugh from her. “Oh stop it! Be serious, I need help!”
“Sorry, sorry!” She laughed and pulled out of your reach. “Okay, if you are going to the park, I suggest something... cute, but comfortable! Maybe your favorite cute blouse and a skirt with flats? I think that is appropriate for a first date!”
You nodded slowly, thinking over the idea. “I think that may work!... Could you, uhm... Could you help me?” your tone sounding embarrassed. “Of course I can, sweetie!” She brightened up and clapped her hands together once. “Let’s get you dressed up!”
After an excruciating hour and a half of mixing and matching, you were finally ready. The butterflies in your stomach were only fluttering more. Is this too much? Am I too dressed up? Ugh I don’t know what I am doing...
“Get out here and let me see you!” you heard Mandy shout from outside of the bathroom. With nervous sigh, you opened the door and stepped out.
Mandy’s eyes lit up immediately and she clapped her hands together with delight. You were wearing a peach-toned button-up blouse with a pretty lace pattern on it and a matching toned skirt that reached just above your knees, with matching flats. Your hair was up in an intricate bun, wavy hair wrapped around the base with some loose strands, bangs gently draped in front of your eyes.
“You look absolutely adorable, oh my gosh! He is going to die.” Her face suddenly very serious. “y/n, you’re going to kill him, looking like that. What have you done?” She teased.
With a roll of your eyes, you smiled and thanked her, hugged, and you left her dorm to look for something to do to kill the time until your date.
Well, I could go for a drink, at least. Walking down the halls to the vending machines, you heard something coming from the music room. A piano. Who could that be? You thought absently, deciding to check it out. Approaching the door, you opened it up and stepped inside.
The piano was closest to you, so you weren’t able to see the player. The only person you knew who could play the piano that well was Alyssa, one of the music majors.
Once you made your way around the piano, you stopped, and so did the music. To your surprise for the second time this week, there was Chanyeol, fingers on the keys, eyes on you. This time though, his smile was delayed, as he was too busy staring at you and your outfit.
“... y/n?” His eyes were wide and his jaw hung open. You hadn’t expected him to see you this early, and you felt embarrassed. Immediately you panicked and turned around on your heels, making your way out of the music room and covering your face in embarrassment.
Before you made it out, Chanyeol was already stood up and right behind you, his hand gripping your shoulder loosely to stop you in your tracks.
“y/n, wait! I’m sorry if I offended you, I just... you look so... well, you look really pretty.” He muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
Now that he was standing in front of you, you got a good look at him. He was dressed just as nicely as you, in a very flattering button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow and nice black pants. His hair however, was just as messy and fluffy as always. But you liked it that way.
Your cheeks must have been red because Chanyeol looked at you with concern. “y/n? Are you okay? I’m sorry.”
Snapping out of it, you managed a nervous chuckle and a smile. “Oh, no, don’t apologize! I just wasn’t expecting to see you this soon, and I got nervous because I haven’t done this before.” ... Shit. You just realized you let that slip.
“Haven’t done this before?... Done what before?” He arched a brow, genuinely confused.
“Well, I have never really... Been on a date before.” You groaned.
You could tell Chanyeol was trying to hide his shock, as not to embarrass you farther, but he was terrible at it. “You really haven’t? This is your first time?” He paused, as if deep in thought, before a delighted smile spread on his face. “Good.”
“... Good?” You repeated, now your turn to arch your brow.
“Good.” He repeated once more. “I am happy to be the one to take you on your first date. If you had more, that means they didn’t work out, and that means you’d have been hurt, and I don’t want that.” His voice was smooth, much more confident than back in the library. Mandy was right, you knew nothing about him, but you definitely wanted to get to know him better.
The both of you had decided that since you were already together early, you may as well go on your date now. Secretly though, both of you were much too excited to just wait now that you’ve ran into each other.
“Can I hold your hand?” Chanyeol’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts as you two walked beside each other. You turned to look up at him, not catching what he had said. “What?”
His face flushed a tint of pink at your question, but he repeated for you anyways. “Y/n, can I hold your hand? While we walk?”
Now your cheeks matched his, and you gave him a shy, much too quick nod.
Chanyeol reached down laced his fingers with yours. You didn’t know what this meant, but you assumed it was a very good thing, based on the feeling in your stomach. You looked down at your feet as you walked, so to hide your red cheeks as you gave his hand a gentle squeeze. You liked this feeling.
His thumb gently caressed the back of your hand in response to you. Though you couldn’t see him looking at you, he was. With a big smile on his face. You were absolutely adorable, he thought. He was terrified, but he hoped it wasn’t showing. You seemed to be genuinely enjoying his company and that made his heart race. He didn’t think he would get this far, if he was being honest. He didn’t want to rush anything because he wanted to make sure you were comfortable and happy. That was all that mattered.
The both of you had arrived at the park and began a slow walk on the path around it. You felt a desire in your heart, and since he made you comfortable, you followed it without a word.
You stopped walking in the middle of the path and looked up at him for a moment, his returned gaze a questioning one. Then, you removed your shoes and socks, held them in your free hand, and put your feet into the cool grass. You loved feeling free like this, walking barefoot in the grass in nature.
Chanyeol laughed and smiled at you. Without even a bit of hesitation, he did the same as you and removed his shoes and socks and stepped into the grass. This resulted in the biggest smile from you that he had ever seen. You were happy, your eyes sparkled, you felt comfortable and accepted. Both of your hearts were aching and neither of you really knew quite why.
The two of you had been walking barefoot in the grass for a while and hadn’t released each other’s hands even once, before Chanyeol squeezed your hand and began to guide you to a different path than the one the two of you were following.
“Where are we going, Yeol?” The nickname slipped out, but he smiled at it.
“Remember I wanted to show you something? I want to take you somewhere really pretty.” He replied plainly as he guided you. After about 10 minutes or so of walking, the two of you walked up to a rather secluded area of a lake. It seemed that this was where all of the ducks would hide with their babies, because the small section was full of them. All around the lake on either side was a bunch of different colored lillies, and the sight was absolutely beautiful.
Turning to the tall boy beside you, you smiled brightly. “Chanyeol, this is absolutely beautiful! How did you find it?” your voice was laced with excitement.
“I have a lot of free time when I am not in class or with friends. I like to go on mini adventures and discover things. This is one of the prettiest things I have found.” He didn’t follow that up, but just looked at you with a soft and fond expression. “Do you want to sit down for a while and watch?”
He didn’t have to ask twice. You sat down immediately and he sat across from you, finally releasing your hand. The both of you decided to take this time to get to know each other better.
“So, you seem to have many talents that I just keep walking in on. What do you like doing the most?” You questioned him curiously.
His smile returned. “Well, I like to read, I love watching movies, I play the piano, guitar, drums, and I love to sing.”
You were shocked. There was a lot that you never thought he would do.
“What is your favorite movie? Can I hear you sing sometime? And listen to you play the piano?” You were fascinated by him, and it was a little too obvious.
Chanyeol laughed in good-nature. “Well don’t laugh, but my favorte movie is Zootopia. I would love to sing to you, and I will even play the piano while I do it.”
You didn’t find it embarrassing at all that he loved Zootopia. It almost matched how cute he seemed to be. There he was, being cute. Just sitting there and looking at you, all cute-like. How dare he.
His fluffy brown bangs were in his face again, you noticed. He looked so handsome.
Before you realized what you were doing, you were leaning in to him, your hand reaching up.
Chanyeol sat stood and watched you, only a hint of surprise on his face, he was comfortable with you now too.
Your fingers gently brushed his bangs out of his eyes before coming to a rest on his dimpled cheek. Before you could react, his arms were around you and pulling you up into his lap facing him.
You let out a squeak and panicked immediately, but made no effort to me. He was warm and calm and comfortable. You had never felt this way before, nor done anything like this, and it was terrifying, but somehow, you liked it, despite the racing of your heart.
His own hand lifted up, fingers brushing your bangs from your eyes and to the side as he leaned in, his eyes looking deep into yours.
Now you were definitely panicking. Nobody had panicked as much as you, currently, were panicking. The most panicked. The panickiest.
While distracted by your own racing brain, Chanyeol leaned in and pressed his soft plump lips to your forehead. Your racing thoughts froze, your hands fell to his sides, clenching his shirt and wrinkling it.
You had no idea what was going on, but you were so happy. Unfortunately, your body decided to express that happiness via tears. They rolled down your cheeks and onto Chanyeol’s hands. He immediately pulled away, a look of shock and concern on his face.
“y/n, I am so sorry, are you okay? I am so sorry!” Now he was the one panicking. He tried to pull his hands away but you were faster, placing your own hands on top of his on your cheeks so that he couldn’t. You didn’t know how to answer his question, but you wanted to let him know that it wasn’t a bad thing.
“I’m feeling my own feelings.” You muttered lamely before letting out a laugh. Somehow though, he knew what this meant and sighed in relief before lightening up and laughing with you.
“You scared me, I thought I was moving too fast.”
“Too fast?” You questioned, not really knowing what he meant.
“Yeah, I don’t want to do anything that makes you uncomfortable, y/n. I think I like you a lot, and I don’t want to scare you off.” He chuckled at himself.
Your heart ached at that. He genuinely felt concern for you, he genuinely cared and wanted you to be as comfortable as possible. You really liked him. You liked him so much that you felt like screaming. So you did.
You lifted your hands up into the air and let out a happy shout and a laugh, falling backwards off of his lap into the grass. Chanyeol laughed brightly and did the same, his long limbs thrusted up into the air, his deep voice letting out a happy shout as he fell back into the grass beside you.
Both of you laid back in the grass in a comfortable silence. Both of you reached over simultaneously and grabbed each other’s hand, lacing your fingers, smiling up at the sky.

don’t try to be sweet | pcy
- Instant coffee - Beer - Chocolate (dairy milk 2, cashew nuts 2) - Ice cream (cookie dough & vanilla) - Potato chips (sweet & sour cream flavor) - Pads
Darting your eyes from the grocery list you have in your hand to the plastic bags, your eyebrows knit in pure confusion and a little bit of annoyance. A loud sigh escapes your lips as you dig around the second plastic bags this evening to look for something that you need the most. Your instruction was loud and clear—gosh you even put the list on his phone, and you also text him once he left for the supermarket. But still, you can’t find the chocolates—the dairy milk ones—and the pads. No matter how many times you dig around the plastic bags, you still can’t find them.
“Chanyeol!” You holler out his name through the quiet apartment as you make your way to his little studio, the place he always ventures to every time he has a sudden burst inspiration after his shower. Loud footsteps echo through the apartment, punctuating your annoyance as you try to find your forgetful boyfriend.
Through the open door, you can see the sight of your boyfriend hunched over the table that has his keyboard and huge computer on it. Random sounds fill the room as he tweaks around with his keyboard, his attention is solely on the computer screen in front of him and not at his fuming girlfriend who stands in the doorway.
“Chanyeol,” you try to call his name once again, and this time he turns his gaze away from the computer screen, spinning on his chair to face you. “Where did you put my chocolates and pads? I couldn’t find it in those bags.”
If there’s something about Chanyeol that you’ve liked is how the look across his face always tells you what you need to know—whether if it’s about your failed cooking experiment or your terrible taste of movies, you can know his answer even though he doesn’t say it to you. It is because he always shows it with the knitted eyebrows and pursed lips—like he wants to say it, but the words are trapped inside his brain because he’s afraid he would hurt you or something.
This evening, that thing happens again. He’s taking too long to answer and although you usually have the patience to deal with it, this time you don’t. And the crease across his forehead and his darting gaze that avoid yours are enough of an answer, but too bad it’s not the answer you want.
“Please tell me you didn’t forget to buy them,” you mutter under your breath, your lips turning down and the crease on your forehead deepens. But the look on his face remains the same, and that’s when you give up. Letting out a huff, you spin on your heels and walk towards the bedroom.
“Jagi.” Frustrated tears already well up in your eyes as you open up your closet, grabbing your coat and putting it on. Taking a few deep breaths to keep yourself calm and hold the tears in, you fish out your wallet from your bag and shove it into your coat pocket. Chanyeol’s calls of your name and ‘jagi, c’mon’ fall on deaf ears as you move around with one mission in mind.
“Where are you going?” You turn around to see Chanyeol standing in the doorway of the bedroom with his bag—his trustee bag that he brought everywhere he went—in his hand. Turning your gaze away from his tight grip on the strap of his bag, you look into his eyes. Those eyes. Those widened eyes that had pure confusion and worry swirling inside of it only make you feel even annoyed and worse that you start to second-guess everything.
“I’m going to get those damned chocolate and pads, since clearly someone is so forgetful that he forgot the things I needed the most tonight.” You pat down your pocket to check if you forget your phone and wallet.
“This late? It’s almost midnight.” You can feel his eyes burning into your skin as you walk past him to the living room and to the shoe rack in the foyer.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be quick.” The tone of your voice is cold—probably as cold as it is outside—and you hope your boyfriend feels guilty for making you go out at midnight and in such cold weather. As you shove your feet into your shoes, you once again wish that the guilt would eat him away that he would be so confused trying to get into your good side again.
Nation’s boyfriend, my ass, you think, he couldn’t even remember the things I kept telling him over and over again over the phone.
“C’mon, don’t go out. I lied to you, okay?” The urgency laces in his words that it causes you to turn and look at him with your furrowed eyebrows. “I have the chocolates and the pads in my bags, okay? I’m sorry I lied. I’m so sorry.” He waves the 2 packages of dairy milk chocolates and a small black, plastic bag with pads in it to you with a panicked look across his face.
Well, that’s when you lose it.
The frustrated tears that you tried so hard to hold back stream down against your cheeks and you stand near the front door with head buried in your hands, quiet sobs racking through your body. The mixed of emotions that you feel inside make you feel incredibly frustrated and annoyed at yourself and at him, and break down in the living room. The fact that you have been feeling so agitated and emotional over every damn thing—because your period is approaching and all—doesn’t help the situation at all.
“No, no, no.” You hear his mutterings and hurried footsteps and the next thing you know, he wraps his arms around you, pulling you to cry on his chest and the bag with your chocolate and pads forgotten on the floor. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry I lied to you.” The way he strokes your back and your hair ever so softly don’t ease the frustration inside. In fact, it makes you even more frustrated at him.
Pushing him away from you, his hands fall from your body to his sides and he looks at you with widened eyes. Still scowling at him, you knuckle at your eyes to wipe your tears. “What the fuck were you thinking? Why did you even lie to me? Do you get off of making me mad or what? Do you think it’s funny?” Question upon question spews out of your mouth, the raised tone at the end of your sentence causing him to flinch.
“I just- I didn’t think—“ You prop your hands on your hips and raise your eyebrows at him. “I didn’t think that you need them tonight, you know? I have this plan to sneak the pads into the bathroom pantry and wake you up with hot chocolate, but the store ran out of the chocolate that you want so I thought I’d use these two for the hot chocolate and buy two more tomorrow before you wake up.” You stare at him like he’s gone crazy. Normally, you would find his effort endearing and sweet. But all you could think that time is ‘why, why in the world was he trying to do that?’
“You don’t even wake up early. We all know I’m the early riser one in this relationship,” you retort with a roll of your eyes.
Chanyeol looks taken aback by your words. “Well, I plan to set an alarm for it. Or just not sleep at all. I can do either. You know I’m good at staying up late,” he boasts in a cocky manner that makes you want to smack his chest.
The both of you just stand there and watch each other with different looks across the faces—you with your crease on your forehead and lips turned down on a pout, and Chanyeol with an apologetic look across his face. It’s only a matter of time before one of you gives in and makes the first move, but one thing you’re sure is you are not going to be the one who makes the first move. You just wanted your chocolates and pads, and he was the one who decided to get creative with it. So, yeah, you aren’t going to say the first word.
As if Chanyeol could read your mind, he lets out a soft sigh and walks towards you, only stopping when you’re a foot away from him. With batted breath, he places his hands on your shoulders and squeezes it lightly like he always does when he’s trying to get your attention. “Hey, I’m sorry.” Once again, his words fall on deaf ears, and you turn your eyes away, avoiding his relentless attempt to make you look at him.
With a grunt, he moves one hand to cradle your face, his thumb caressing your chin softly. His careful move elicits shivers to run down your spine, which is a sign that you are only a step away from giving into him. “Would you look at me for a moment?” He carefully speaks in a small voice and this time, you decide to put him out of his misery.
Turning your gaze away from that one spot on the wall, you finally look into his eyes—those dark eyes that have been intently watching you for a moment. As much as you like being stubborn, you can’t help but feel yourself melt away just by one look at his eyes and see how sorry he was for messing around with you.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to mess around with you,” he says once again, and this time you make the first move to wrap your arms around his torso and lean your head against his chest, afraid that if you look at those eyes longer you would cry again from the realization of how silly the entire situation is.
“Next time you better think more carefully if you want to do something nice for me, or it’ll blow up in your face again like it just did,” you grumble, his sweater muffling out your voice a little bit. “You’re so fucking annoying, you know that?” Laughter rakes through his body, causing you to subconsciously smile at yourself stupidly.
“You still love me, though.” You lean back to glare playfully at him and the stupid, toothless smile across his face—that make his dimple show and his eyes squint—causes you to smack his chest, eliciting a grunt from him.
“Pull that move on me once again, and we’ll see if I still do.”
“Not gonna do that again. Promise.” You let out a squeal in surprise when he leans in to press kisses on your forehead, eyelids, cheeks, and lastly on your lips, a surge of happiness and warmth runs through your body at the feeling of his lips on yours. His loud, exaggerating sound of ‘smack’ when he pulled back from the kiss sometimes makes you think if there is a kid trapped inside his body. But despite his annoying and silly nature (and his failed attempt on being sweet), you know it wouldn’t make you love him any less.

It’s Not Me | II
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Characters: Composer!Park Chanyeol x brokenhearted!reader; appearances by other idols
Genre: Flangst (lol) (srsly)
Warning/s: Mentions of a toxic relationship, strong language
Summary: After a songwriter broke your heart, you swore you would never do anything that involves music. But when a desperate composer asks for your kind help, will you change your mind?
A/N: I honestly didn’t expect the story to receive so much attention??? Thank you so much to everyone supporting my little scenario thingy going on here! This is also quite unedited so.... HAHAHA anyway have a read!!!
story masterlist
When Seulgi comes home that night, she immediately tackles you in a hug and almost topples you off the couch.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She repeatedly chants, sniffling even, as she embraces you tightly.
“What’s going on, Seul?” You question her, confused by her sudden show of affection.
“Because of you, we reached our sales quota!” She announces, suddenly jostling herself to hang on you. “People loved Smart Norae, and they told me it was because they heard you singing!”
You didn’t quite expect a response like that. You’d expect them to buy it because of its good surround system and the efficiency of picking songs, not because they watched a pathetic girl destress through the newest karaoke technology.
“Glad I could be of help, Seul,” you pat her shoulder. “But I can’t believe you made me sing!”
She sheepishly lets you go, taking a paper-wrapped object from her shoulder bag and hands it over to you. “Just a little something as a token of appreciation.”
You rip the paper off, revealing a brown leather notebook with your name imprinted in calligraphy on its front and an animated drawing of your face.
“A friend of mine started doing some stationery business, so I requested if she can make me a journal for you. I designed it myself, see?” She proudly points at the intricate details of it. “It’s not much, but I know how much you love writing randomly. Use it to write whatever you come up with so you can look at it whenever you feel like it.”
You caress the smooth sheets of paper inside, admiring the way it feels underneath your fingertips. Seulgi always had the eye for the perfect materials, being a triple threat in singing, dancing, and art.
“This is amazing, Seulgi,” you give her a kiss on her cheek. “Thank you so much.”
“Ah, it’s nothing,” she waves you off. “You deserve this, hun. Now, you can write revenge songs about Jihoon and all he had done to you.” A look of anger fills Seulgi’s caramel irises, but you stop her before she can say more.
“We’re not going to go lower than Jihoon, Seul,” you dismiss the idea. “We’re going to be strong women, because that’s what we are, right? Revenge is petty.” Seulgi finds herself agreeing with your words.
You fall into comfortable silence later on, with Seulgi strumming along with her guitar. She is trying to hum some tunes, trying to blend it together with the instrument. But so far, her experimentation is a useless attempt to create her song.
You only use her sweet voice and music to focus on your own work to do… coming up with ways on how to shut the children up without asking Mijoo once again to clean up after you.
“Aha!” She exclaims, as if the best idea had just dawn to her. You let her do her thing, and she writes something down on her paper.
“Finally got a hang of it?” You question, although the answer appears pretty obvious.
“That I do,” Seulgi claps in delight. “This is going to be an amazing one!”
You sure hope it does, so your best friend can stop searching because she doesn’t have to… she deserves the recognition for her talent and expertise.
Soon, you exhale. We’ll get to it soon.
“Look, Chanyeol, this is hopeless!” Junmyeon whines as he fails searching for the girl in the video once again.
“Let’s ask the police, then?” Chanyeol suggests, like asking the authorities for a person’s identity is such a normal thing to do.
“And what, tell them that we’re looking for her because of our singing woes?” Junmyeon deadpans. “No thanks.”
“How about we go to that mall?” Kyungsoo suggests. After being updated by what Chanyeol and Junmyeon have watched and hearing the girl sing, he thinks as well that the girl has an amazing voice that can mix well with his. “Maybe some people there know who she is.”
“Kyungsoo, a mall is a public place. She may not go back there.” Junmyeon rationalizes.
“Or she might,” Kyungsoo optimistically counters. “Look, stop being so darn negative. You’ll never know what could be if you try, right?”
Chanyeol cannot believe how chill Kyungsoo is, even if it is his own comeback at stake. Although he’s usually quiet and peaceful and quite the opposite of Chanyeol, he completes their partnership by being the mediator when Chanyeol gets too much of anything.
“We’ll go,” Chanyeol announces, not giving Junmyeon any room to complain anymore.
“Have you lost your mind?!” The manager lets his wits slip anyway. “What if someone recognizes you there?!”
“I’m not the singer here, hyung. If she’s our last chance to save all of our jobs, then we’ll take what we can get!” Chanyeol ends any future altercations and leaves Junmyeon bitterly swallowing.
Junmyeon’s trials to stop Chanyeol is to no avail, and he finds himself back to the same familiar section of the mall the same afternoon. He just leads Chanyeol to where the shop is, and he finds the Smart Norae machine displayed for everyone to see and try. Instead of the striking orange-haired saleslady, a short male with a roseate mullet (Chanyeol is reminded of John Travolta as Danny Zuko from Grease) is singing through the microphone with his own rendition of I Miss You by Kim Bum Soo.
“Excuse me,” Chanyeol hollers once his little performance is over. “Are you the salesman here?”
“You bet I am!” The guy confirms with a puppy-like small. “Can I help you with anything?”
“Yeah, well, there is something I’m curious about,” Chanyeol does not know where else to start and decides to beat to the point. “Do you happen to know a girl who’s singing here?”
“Sorry?” The salesman steps closer. “Sir, many people try the demo machine here. I don’t think I can help you with that.”
“Wait,” Chanyeol rethinks about it and remembers the clip in Junmyeon’s phone. “Hyung, the video!”
“I’m not helping you out,” Junmyeon scoffs. “This is ridiculous, Chanyeol!”
“If you don’t give it to me within five seconds, you’re fired,” Chanyeol pans, arms cross and voice already monotonous.
“You can’t fire me, Chanyeol. Only the company has the power to do that.” Junmyeon rebuts.
“Look, I don’t have much time for this. My break will be in a few minutes, but you can try and ask my co-worker instead?” The male sheepishly suggests.
“Wait, uh…” Chanyeol asks for his name.
“Baekhyun,” the salesman answers.
“Yes, Baekhyun,” Chanyeol speaks. “There was this girl who sang a song by Taeyeon here, and there was also an orange-headed girl here at that time. Do you think she knows who that girl is?”
“Hmm,” Baekhyun considers what he knows. “If you buy one of these, I can tell you what I know.”
“What?!” Junmyeon is now the one to intervene. “No! You just said you didn’t know! We’re not buying—”
“I’ll take one,” Chanyeol brings his wallet out. “Just test it out and then pack it well.”
“Of course, sir!” Baekhyun throwing a smirk at Junmyeon before heading to the stock room.
“Chanyeol, stop this, okay? We can ask JYP if Suzy can sing with Kyungsoo or anyone else, for that matter. We’ll negotiate, but just stop this!” Junmyeon nags, trying to reason out to Chanyeol whose mind seemed to have synced out.
“Look, hyung, let me ask you a question,” Chanyeol sighs. “Why did you take a video of her in the first place?”
“Because I thought she was good?” Junmyeon responds, quite confused.
“Then why did you show it to me?”
“Again, because she’s so good, I felt like it would be a waste to not tell anyone. I don’t have a lot of musical knowledge, but it doesn’t take one who has a lot to know how emotional she is. She has a lot of pent up emotions she had to let out.”
“And you know how important that is in music,” Chanyeol counters. “This girl sings great, but she does amazing because she feels through the song, and in this industry full of singers who do their jobs solely for profit, we need one who has a voice that wants to be heard.”
Junmyeon pauses, debating whether to let Chanyeol go on with his delusions of finding this girl sometime today or just stop whatever it is.
“Fine,” Junmyeon finally accepts the inevitable. “But if within three days we don’t find her, well stop this.”
“I promise,” Chanyeol nods gratefully. “Thank you, hyung.”
After his purchase, Chanyeol begins to interrogate Baekhyun.
“Now it will help if you show me the actual video,” Baekhyun asks for it, and although he’s reluctant, Junmyeon scrolls through his phone for the clip before handing it to Baekhyun.
“Oh, wait, I knew you were talking about Seulgi,” Baekhyun then points out to the saleslady with the orange hairdo. “She’s the one interviewing the girl.”
“Do you think this Seulgi knows her?” Chanyeol looks hopeful.
“I’m not sure, but let me call a friend who knows Seulgi well,” Baekhyun steps outside the shop for a while and drags in a man wearing a chicken nugget suit.
“Hyung, my manager will kill me if he founds out I’m not there!” Chicken Nugget complains.
“Jongin, this won’t take long,” Baekhyun rewinds the video and lets Jongin see. “Do you know this girl singing? Does Seulgi know her?”
“You mean Y/N?” Jongin squints to check if he’s seeing correctly. “Yeah, that’s Y/N.”
“You know her?!” Chanyeol almost shakes Jongin, feeling the excitement of knowing the girl.
“Yeah, she’s Seulgi’s best friend,” Jongin explains. “But who are you? Why are you looking for her?”
“Seulgi pretended not to know her best friend?” Baekhyun suddenly barges into the conversation.
“Yeah, they do it all the time,” Jongin shrugs. “Business is business, hyung.”
“Anyway,” Chanyeol clears his throat, hoping for an answer. “Do you know Do Kyungsoo?”
“The singer?” Jongin tilts his head. “Who doesn’t?”
“Well, her voice matches Kyungsoo’s a lot,” Chanyeol elucidates. “And if she’d let us, we’d like to have her try to sing.”
“I don’t know about that,” Jongin scratches his head. “But there’s Seulgi. You can go ask her how you can contact Y/N.” And they all turn around to see the same girl on the video walking to the store in her work outfit.
“I’m not late, right?” She heaves before heading to the back of the store. She returns, appropriate enough to work already. “Welcome!”
“Seulgi, they’re asking about Y/N,” Jongin proclaims, wondering how this guy can be so blunt about such a request.
“Y/N? What about her?” Seulgi questions.
“Well, we kind of have a problem she can possibly help with,” Junmyeon rewords whatever had been said before about this deal with the girl.
“I can’t speak for her, so I think you might have to talk to her in person,” Seulgi hesitantly mumbles. “What is this request all about, anyway?”
“Do Kyungsoo’s album,” Chanyeol claims. “We heard her singing, and we think she’s the missing puzzle piece.”
“Oh shit,” Seulgi exclaims and covers her mouth in utter shock, knowing how big of a deal this is. “This is huge!”
“It is,” Chanyeol agrees.
“But…” Seulgi takes a deep breath, not sure if she should be saying anything at all.
“What is it?” Chanyeol encourages her to say something.
“She told me she didn’t want anything to do with music, and helping me out with a song number was kind of pushing it. I’m not sure if she’ll approve at all.” Seulgi regrets being the bearer of such news, especially because the guy looks so optimistic, too.
“Does she have any background with singing?” Chanyeol questions.
“She was in a church choir in high school and minored in music during college. Our professor wondered why she wasn’t majoring in music instead because she’s actually an amazing singer.” Seulgi rambles on about her best friend and her life choices that although she doesn’t quite understand, still supports fully.
“Anyway, if you want to meet Y/N, I asked her to come over later after her shift ends. You might have to wait a few…” Seulgi checks her wristwatch. “Hours. It’s only 2 and she gets off at 4.”
Chanyeol knows that he is already pushing Junmyeon’s patience far off, but he needs to know that he at least tried his best in pleading the girl to cooperate with his plan of salvaging everyone’s careers.
“You can go first, hyung,” Chanyeol tells his manager, who looks exasperated now more than ever. “I’ll wait for her.”
“Chanyeol,” Junmyeon hisses, hoping that even if he had given his approval, Chanyeol would at least consider stopping this.
“No, hyung,” Chanyeol gently responds. “This isn’t just for Kyungsoo, but also for myself. Let me do this.”
And Junmyeon’s face softens, seemingly at lost with everything else by now. What Chanyeol wants, Chanyeol gets.
“Just be careful, alright?” Junmyeon reminds in defeat. “Text me when you’re on your way back. I’ll tell the president you’re busy if he goes looking for you.”
“Thanks, hyung,” Chanyeol pats Junmyeon’s back, expressing his appreciation to his ever-patient manager.
Chanyeol waits on a coffee shop across, which has the perfect view of the people coming over the halls where the gadget shop is situated. He had since taken his notebook out, trying to come up with a poem he can later consider lyrics in the song.
Two hours, and he is already getting irritated with some people disrupting the ambiance of the coffee shop.
He had drunken two Americanos in the first hour, but after shivering because of it, he settled on some fruit juice. Last minute, he decides to buy some for the girl… a little gesture he hopes would give her a boost to agree.
“When will she arrive?” Chanyeol asks himself before gathering his stuff and heading back to the shop, with the mango juice in his hand and his work papers on the other.
He walks towards the entrance… well, right until he saw the female from the video personified and looking all beautiful despite the bags underneath her eyes.
“Seulgi, I’m sorry I’m late! The kids didn’t want to let me go!” Chanyeol feels his alarm go off at the mention of kids, wondering if she were talking about her own children.
“You should really find a job which has to do with your actual expertise, Y/N,” and now, Chanyeol is sure that this is the girl.
Of my dreams.
Shut up, Park Chanyeol.
“Anyway, Y/N, there was someone looking for—oh, there he is. Sir!” Seulgi calls for Chanyeol, and the tall guy shudders at the thought of being embarrassed in front of the girl he had wanted to see ever since he had found out about her.
“Looking for me?” She questions, puzzled. “Hello, sir. What can I help you with?”
“Miss Y/N, I am Park Chanyeol,” You nod, acknowledging his introduction. Chanyeol takes a deep breath, preparing for a surprised response coming from you.
“I want you to sing for us.”

summary: AlternateUniverseAU! When the guy you hate—and who you’re certain hates you—becomes your boyfriend after you swore he kicked a soccer ball at your head.
part 01 / part 02 / part 03:finale
“No, I really—”
“Oh come on, just try it!”
“No, I don’t think...”
Placing the guitar in your hesitant hands, you sighed in defeat at the look of pleading Chanyeol sent you, his pout changing in an instant to a smile of victory. He gingerly sat you down, then began directing your hands to the proper placements, a look of concentration as he attempted to fix the stiff joints in your fingers.
The more time you spent with this man, the less you were finding yourself able to defend yourself against any wishes he had. Whether it was going out shopping, to the movies, restaurants, random drives along the town, arcades, or in this case; impromptu guitar lessons.
Apparently you’d been receiving guitar lessons from Chanyeol for a few months now, and he was convinced that you two had practiced enough that maybe muscle memory would kick in and it could maybe trigger a long lost memory of some sort, or be able to play a short tune.
Which, yeah, it might’ve worked if it was you who had been receiving the lessons. But you weren’t.
Little did he know you weren’t the Y/n he knew and you were one hundred percent sure that this was going to go very badly considering you knew absolutely nothing about the guitar, just looking at the instrument filled you with tremendous anxiety and impending doom, not wanting to accidentally damage it with your inherent clumsiness.
Not that going to his house and meeting his parents for the first time didn’t twist your stomach into knots, either.
Chanyeol had mentioned when he’d first informed you of the guitar lessons that his parents really wanted to see you again, and that they wouldn’t stop bugging him about it, if you wanted to meet them, to which you agreed without much mulling over.
You didn’t see why not, even though you felt the nervousness build in the pit of your stomach at the mere thought of it. If you and him were going to spending a lot more time together, it was only right to meet his parents... ‘again’.
It was a bit intimidating walking up the porch steps to his impressive looking house, barely having set your feet inside and started to look around the room in wonderment for a tiny fraction of a second before you were suddenly being engulfed in a tight embrace.
“Y/n! We missed you so much, how are you doing now, dear? Are you feeling okay, you wanna sit down?” A comforting warmth enveloped you and felt yourself instantly and subconsciously relaxing entirely. “Are you sure you’re okay, honey? Remember, try to take it easy—”
She was cut off and pulled away from the heartening (she was highkey suffocating you) hug she’d cocooned you into by who had to be Chanyeol’s dad. “You’re gonna scare her away, relax a little.” He laughed charmingly to his wife, a mild expression of embarrassment graced her features as she gave you some space.
“Oh, I’m fine, please don’t worry. I appreciate the heartfelt welcome, I was a little nervous so it made me feel better,” you awkwardly got out, suddenly very shy with all the attention on you.
“Oh, you’re still so cute—”
Chanyeol quickly moved you to stand in front of him by the stairs, cutting his mother off in her move to gather you into what you guessed would be another smothering hug. “Alright, we’re gonna go upstairs now, you guys can talk to her another day, let’s not overwhelm her. I’ll leave the door wide open, don’t worry,” his voice was notably more hushed for the last thing he got out at the subtle look his mom sent his way.
Relief flooded you, you weren’t completely sure you could handle being alone in an enclosed space with him just yet. You sent an agreeing nod at his words, placing a polite smile on your face as you sneaked a glance at his face, daring you to think he was a little... embarrassed?
He was pushing you lightly up the stairs in front of you the next possible second, always making sure his eyes were averted away from you and to maintain a respectable distance your bodies. A soft smile came to your lips as you noticed this fact, his parents murmuring to each other with hidden smiles look how cute they are, glad that their son seemed to be happier lately and knowing just who was the reason for that.
The two of you rounded the stairs where he just as quickly took his hands off your shoulders, looking at you with an apologetic smile. “Sorry if my mom scared you, it’s just—you two were really close and she just misses you, I think. And, the—” Chanyeol paused to clear his throat, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked elsewhere, “the keeping the door open is one of my mom’s rules.”
He gestured to the closest room to you with pink cheeks. “Um, this is my room. I cleaned before you came over, I promise—and I’ll keep this open the whole time, okay?” He pushed the door completely open, but he made no further move, as if waiting for your permission.
“Thanks.” You shyly smiled up at him as you passed, silently examining the room you had just stepped into. It was very... him. You didn’t know why, but it felt like him. To the cool color of his bedding, the amount of soccer items adorning the room, medals adorning the walls. It made you smile at the strangely soothing scene in front of you. “It looks cozy.”
The words had slipped right out of your mouth on their own, not realizing until it was already too late. Silence surrounded the two of you and you graciously accepted his invitation to sit on the bed, turning around to grab something. Your heart raced in your chest as you tried to calm yourself down and willed yourself to act normal.
Back to the present, Chanyeol was still knelt in front of you as he finished the finger placements. Once he was satisfied, he hummed as a grin popped on his face, stepping away to stand in front of you.
“Alright, now try and see if you remember how to play an A Chord.” He reached for something behind him on his nightstand by his bed and turned around again, placing a plain dark blue pick in your hand.
“How would I even—” your attempt to dismiss this whole thing falters as you catch the hopeful glint in his eyes and took note of his feet that he had been shuffling back and forth in what seemed a nervous habit. He was peeking down down at you from under his hair as he chewed on the nail of his thumb. “Okay, let’s see...”
You were becoming a total softie for Chanyeol and it wasn’t something you knew how to stop.
You had no idea what chord he was talking about, and you had no idea where you were supposed to place your fingers on the coarse strings, but you shrugged and slowly placed them in a way that felt most natural to you and ran the pick softly along the strings, the resulting sound not at all an appealing one. Somehow you applied too much force and the pick ran down the strings very roughly, both of you cringing away at the sound, looking at him apologetically for possibly damaging his instrument.
“No, huh?”
“No,” he sighed, his shoulders slumping forward from their tense lock that he had them in. His face which was somewhat a mix between hopeful and expectant also fell, but he masked it quickly. A carefree smile adorned his lips as he shrugged off the weird mood that had rose between the two of you, coming to plop himself down right next to you. “It’s okay, you can learn everything again. No worries.”
“Wow, lucky me.” You joked, nudging him with your shoulder in a way to lighten up the mood, relieved when his grin turned more genuine, his eyes softening as the two of you stared at each other, your once calm heart began to pick up pace the longer you looked at him.
It was when you looked away and saw a picture of you and Chanyeol, framed, on his nightstand. Well, the other you. The original you.
You startled when you felt his fingers on yours, glancing down to see him rearranging your fingers into what you assumed was the correct placement for the A Chord, his lips forming words but you couldn’t hear him, your mind becoming the tiniest bit fuzzy as you were enveloped more in his warm embrace and the starting to become familiar scent of his cologne.
“You probably don’t remember, but the first time you came to my house, you...”
It was at times like these where you felt yourself feeling sorry for the man who was determined to keep you by his side. Feeling sorry that he was left to remember all these treasured memories alone.
You would study the wide and nostalgic smile that would appear on his face when he told you story after story of your many adventures and experiences the two of you embarked together. That smile would always vanish whenever he returned to the present and see you staring at him with a guilty expression that had in some way found its way to your face.
“Don’t feel sorry.” He would always respond to your remorseful apologies, gracing you with an ever kind and patient smile. But him smiling at you like that only made your mood worsen even more, knowing the only reason he was so understanding and sanguine was because he fully believed you were the woman he fell in love with, the woman he so desperately wanted back.
But you weren’t.
It was obvious from the countless tales you heard and watched him fawn over.
The Y/n in this universe was much more outgoing, brave and endearing than you ever considered yourself to be, people worried about her to an extent you really didn’t understand.
No matter how much you wished you were the person he fell in love with, the person that held his heart—that wish only growing stronger each day you spent with this charming and lovable human being—you could never be her.
You feared you wouldn’t be able to live up to his expectations.
Strange to think you’d ever be jealous of another version of yourself.
Chanyeol was a good teacher, he made you feel at ease as you fumbled and struggled to make a pretty sound out of the wooded instrument, reassuring you whenever you would retreat into yourself and hyping you up when you actually did something right.
Eventually you relaxed and was able to joke around with him somewhat, though the feel of his fingers covering yours was something you couldn’t get used to no matter how many times he helped you (he totally didn’t need to help you that much he just wanted to hold your hand).
Your phones vibration pulled you out of your thoughts and you reluctantly detached your fingers from his to find a message from Junmyeon, not realizing just how long you’d been here for. "Oh, I gotta go. I'm having dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Kim's house." Junmyeon had told you that his parents were worried about you, and how they too kept pestering him about inviting you over dinner, and he had finally caved and asked you yesterday to which you agreed.
You loved his parents almost as much you loved your own in your last universe, and you can only hope that they were the same as you remembered them, and they hadn’t changed as well.
“Oh, okay.” He hopped up from your side and you were instantly cold when you felt like you were burning up a few seconds ago. He placed the guitar back to its place in the corner where he kept it as you, too, stood up. “Um, so I’ll text you later?” Chanyeol scratched the back of his head and he stared at you with a hopeful expression, the tone of his voice giving away of how unsure he really felt despite the brave face he’d been putting on for you.
It was your fault he was suffering, you thought to yourself glumly. You told him you’d try and get to know him again, the word again giving an illusion that maybe he’d get back the relationship with the girl he loved and thought that you were again.
Filled with the false hope that things would go back to normal as he smiled at you so sweetly and comforted you. Here you were, liking him more and more each day as you were subjected to the past memories of his real love, which wasn’t you.
"Y/n? Are you okay?" Chanyeol eyed you with worry etched onto his face as you had just suddenly zoned out. It was discomforting but it was also a regular occurrence. He so desperately wanted to find out what was in that head of yours, but didn’t want to overwhelm you any more than you already were. If only you trusted him as you did before.
"Huh?" Blinking, you regained your senses to find him staring at you in worry. You backtracked to what you two were saying before you got all lost in your thoughts and smiled at him as convincingly as you could, "yeah, we should figure out what to do later, let's do anything you want to do." As retribution, to ease this smothering feeling inside you.
You rang the doorbell, and it was as if they were just waiting by the door because it didn't even feel like two seconds later when the door swung open and Junmyeon was ushering you inside by the arm, a look of joy on his face. All you got out was a quick greeting to his parents and sister—who very excitedly ran up to you as soon as you entered the house and enveloped you into a big hug—who you acted a bit awkwardly around, because after all, this was your first time ever meeting her.
You were meeting a lot of people today. She was absolutely gorgeous, but of course that came as no surprise. Also you were still getting used to the fact that Junmyeon had a sister in this universe, fully expecting to see Minseok bound down the stairs and give you one of those big brotherly hugs you were missing at the moment.
“Let me talk to her first. Hey Y/n, glad you could make it, how are you?” Junmyeon spewed out the question after dragging you to a secluded area of his living room, not giving you the chance to even answer because after he took a quick breath, he was immediately continuing his rant, “there’s something that I’ve been curious about, and I was hoping you could answer it for me. I would’ve texted you but I knew you were coming over for dinner tonight, so I figured I’d just wait."
It took everything in you to not burst out laughing at his unexpected manic behavior. “Okay, what are you curious about?”
Have you found any substantial new evidence that would somehow be able to explain the possibility of parallel or alternate universe? Have you found out why you were sent here?
These were the types of questions you fully expected to be hit with from Junmyeon, ever the rational and inquisitive guy—
“In your universe, was I just as attractive and sophisticated as I am in this one? No, right? I’m the better Junmyeon, right?” He took extra precaution to make sure no one could possibly hear your conversation, lowering his voice down to a whisper and his eyes were wide with curiosity as they tracked your expression for a reaction.
You blinked at him for awhile before you choked out a laugh. Somehow with his insane question he managed to strangely rid the worries you had running through your head. You looked up at him and nodded, patting his shoulder as his eyes lit up in anticipation to your response. “You know, that’s a very Junmyeon number one thing to say.”
"Wait, is that how you've been referring to me in your head? Junmyeon number two?" It was funny how offended he seemed, even pointing at himself in disbelief, brows furrowed and mouth parted open.
"I mean, it is the number that comes after one, and I knew the other one first, so naturally..." You pursed your lips and shrugged nonchalantly, prolonging the teasing.
“I refuse to be known as a number two.” His face scrunched up in disgust as he said those words, shaking his head at you. Just then, you two were told that dinner was ready and you two started making your way to the table, but you couldn't help but tease him some more.
“You’re more annoying, though, number two."
Dinner was a bit bizarre for you to say the least. In the spot you clearly remembered Minseok occupying, now sat Jooyeon. You smiled fondly as you watched Mr and Mrs. Kim piling meat and more vegetables on her plate, speaking to her in the most adoring way.
It was a tender scene to gaze upon.
You’d always remembered Mrs. Kim telling you just how much she wished she had a daughter, and if you wanted to be the daughter she never had, that she’d treat you well. You didn’t doubt that for a second and it was nice to see they loved each other so much.
Jooyeon had taken hold of your hands after you helped bring the dishes to the kitchen and after you were refused in your offer to help clean and took you upstairs to her room. You figured you two were close from that action alone.
The standard interrogation about your health commenced and after you managed to ease her worries enough she switched the conversation over to Chanyeol with a gentle stare.
"So, how are you and Chanyeol doing? I can't imagine it's easy now that you lost your memories of him."
You nodded slowly, sat on her bed with her and you kept your eyes on your sock clad feet as you swung your legs softly, pondering on how to answer her question. “It’s still a little weird. I just feel bad, he’s trying so hard to get back the love he had with her...” you hadn’t noticed you had referred to the other Y/n in third person, as a separate person, out loud instead of in your head like you usually did.
“Unni,” she whined, eyes narrowed as she scolded you quietly. “Why are you talking like you’re another person?” You couldn’t help but look away from her intense gaze, only to whip around to face her again when she suddenly took your hand in hers, expression earnest and sincere. “Is that how you’ve been feeling lately?”
You sighed, “Chanyeol... is still in love with the me of the past....” Literally the Y/n of the past. Before you arrived here.
Jooyeon giggled, breaking your solemn state to gape at her in surprise, wondering what was so funny with your words. “Unni, the you of the past is you. The only thing that’s really changed about you is you losing six months worth of memories. But you gaining them back or not doesn’t affect who you are. Nor is it going to affect his love for you.”
His love for you... wasn’t meant for you.
“Chanyeol and me aren’t close at all,” Jooyeon started, glancing at you with big eyes that became the shape of crescent moons when she smiled after your prolonged state of silence, “but I do remember before you guys started officially dating, he approached me one day and asked what would be the best way to officially ask you to be his girlfriend. He wanted to impress you so bad, something you just couldn’t say no to."
“Really?”
She nodded enthusiastically, laughing a bit. “You would not believe how he wanted to ask you to be his girlfriend. He had this great idea—of course you know what I mean by great. Anyway, he obviously wanted something to do with soccer...” she started to tell you the specifics of the story but you got sucked into your own inner turmoil instead, a normalcy for you.
You were sure it was a nice story and all, probably very sentimental and affectionate just like him, but you really weren’t in the mood for a story right now. You weren’t any closer in figuring out why you were sent here, and was just racked in guilt the more time you spent with Chanyeol trying to find it out.
Jooyeon gave you a warm hug before you left, as did the rest of the Kim family. It was a nice break from your worrying and headed home feeling a little better than usual.
But it still didn’t stop you from further distancing yourself from Chanyeol.
You avoided answering his calls and texts, not knowing what to say to him at his sweet and excited offer of a picnic, managing to dwindle your guys’ interactions down to nothing more than a stranger you saw everyday.
Once again it was Saturday night, alone at home after telling your parents to take the night to themselves for their health and stress levels.
Just you and the night, you and the house to yourself, preparing to re-binge The Good Place for your stress levels. Or maybe you’d rewatch Shrek for the thousandth time. Who cares, you had no plans and nowhere to be besides your couch.
Which is why the knocking on the front door had scared you as much as it did. Your survival instincts about turned on as you sneakily looked out the peephole to slump against the door in relief, which turned into guilt.
Chanyeol.
You opened the door quietly, the two of you staring at each other for a few moments before you sidestepped to let him in, wordlessly asking him to talk. “You’re gonna let the bugs in, with you just standing there. You gonna come in or not?”
Hoping that your awkward teasing could ease this tension to being relieved about the small smile that had erupted on his lips at your words, following your lead.
He stepped towards you and you backed away instinctively and he entered your living room swiftly and you could only shut the door behind you as you and he eyed each other. “Why are you avoiding me again? Did I do something, I thought it was going well, I...”
It was his frustrated expression giving way to that sadness you’d also learned to associate with him, the ambivalence in his voice tearing you up inside.
“I’m not the person you fell in love with—” you ended spewing the true reason to ease his worries that it had anything to do with him. Just his happiness. “—and... and every time I look at you I just feel so guilty, and I’m really sorry.” You didn’t dare look at him and instead focused on the cuticles of your nails, your heart thundering in your chest as you heard footsteps coming closer.
Warm fingers wrapped around your wrists to gain your attention gently, the words being spoken as equally soft and tender. “What are you talking about? Of course you are.”
“No, I’m not.” You frowned as you said that, not knowing how to get him to understand that you were but a replica of the true Y/n he fell in love with, is in love with.
Chanyeol’s concerned face came into view before you were pulled into his embrace suddenly, his arms wrapped securely around you to hold you tight against him. “Sure, it’s taking a little longer for you to let go and trust me, and you’re a little more shy than I remember,” his words were spoken with a small laugh, an easy grin on his lips as he glanced down at you. Averting your eyes as you listened to him list the differences, he sighed softly before continuing, his arms tightening around you, “but you’re still the same unbelievably charming and adorable person. And besides, they’re just new sides of you I got to fall in love with. It was like falling in love with you all over again.”
Your breath caught in your throat and you pulled back enough to stare into his eyes in surprise, feeling so... happy.
He... was falling in love with you?
You?
He stared back at you in full earnestness, his sure expression telling you a thousand words in the silence between the two of you.
You couldn’t tell which one of you started closing the distance between you two, maybe both of you, but all you were able to concentrate on was his whisper as he leaned in closer, “I only hope you can say the same.”
“I can.” The words left your mouth unthinkingly in response to his own words, your heart thump thump thumping in your chest as you bravely pressed a small kiss to his lips, leaning up on your tiptoes using his shoulders for support as Chanyeol gazed at you like you had hung the stars in the night sky.
Reaching up and tenderly pushing fallen strands of hair behind your ears, Chanyeol leaned down the rest of the way and enveloped your lips in another kiss, a proper kiss, cradling your face and softly caressing your jaw in a manner that matched the way his lips met with yours, careful yet you could feel the yearning and longing. Incredibly soft and a bit hesitant at first, the kiss slowly grew more passionate though still maintaining that slow burn that did exactly that.
His hands slowly made their way down your shoulders and sides to settle at your hips, squeezing your flesh gingerly as he pulled you closer to him. You felt him smile into the kiss as your fingers slowly ran along his broad shoulders to feel the soft locks in between your fingertips, your lips mirroring his in an instant, subconsciously.
Suddenly wrapping his arms around your middle, he picked you up off the floor so your feet were dangling in the air, he pulled away from your lips as he swung you around like the two of you were the main characters in a cliche romcom—which you’d never admit out loud you enjoyed just a little bit.
“Will you please go on a picnic with me tomorrow?” He still had that tight grip on you, not seeming the least bit tired from holding you up as you clung to him for dear life, pouting at you from a few inches away.
Your lips still tingling with the lingering sensation of his on yours, you felt your heart about melt in your chest. Remembering the position you were in, being pressed up against him had your face flushing and you tapped his shoulders to wordlessly signal you wanted to be let down which he did without question and immediately, you taking a couple steps back as you sobered up a little, your past actions coming back to you.
“You sure you still wanna... be with me after how I’ve been treating you all this time?” You mumbled the words to the ground, shame enveloping your entire being at your behavior and you couldn’t find it in yourself to meet his eyes.
“Do you need me to declare my love for you again to get through that thick head of yours? Or maybe another kiss?” His tone turned playful his last four words he spoke, your eyes flicking from your dining room table to him in response, that cheeky smirk you were used to seeing adorned on his lips. The confidence in his stare making you almost choke on your spit as you hurried to look away, cheeks and neck warming up comically fast.
“I love you, and I think I heard you tell me you love me, too?” His gaze switched to a much softer and genuine one, an encouraging smile on his lips that replaced the smirk as he waited for you to agree with his words, a pleased look on his face, shrugging casually as he reached over to envelop your hands in his. “Then everything else doesn’t matter, not even your lost memories—oh, as long as you promise to not run away anymore and talk what you’re feeling out with me before pushing me away. Deal?”
Feeling completely at ease for the first time in a long time, you smiled and nodded at his words. “I can do that.”
“Good.” Chanyeol all but collapsed onto your couch, never letting go of your hands as he did so, situating himself as close as he could possibly sit next to you without one of you ending up on the lap of the other person, the mere idea of sitting on his lap had your cheeks on fire. He pinched your cheeks, his tone back to teasing along with a wide smile as he asked, “What are you thinking about that’s got your face so red?”
Glaring at him, you removed his hands from your face but kept the contact as you faced the television that was still going on, clearing your throat. “I’m not thinking about anything, it’s just hot in here. It’s basically summer and you’re sitting so close to me, scoot over there.”
“Okay, okay, I won’t tease you anymore, just don’t make me move. It’s so nice to finally be able to be with you like this again.” He clung to you like a koala would cling to a tree, which was funny because it seemed like a tree clinging to a koala with how different you two were in sizes. Though maybe you should compare him to a kitty or puppy with how he was rubbing his face along the fabric covering your shoulder.
Chanyeol squeezed your hand tighter in his before relaxing and laying his head on your shoulder as he realized what show was playing. “Oh, I like this show. Especially how Eleanor and Chidi kept falling in love with each other even after getting their memories erased.” His head shot up from your shoulder to shoot you a sweet grin. “Kind of like you. Which I can’t say I blame you or that you really stood a chance, I am pretty charming.”
Rolling your eyes, you playfully began detangling yourself from his hold, to which he clung to you tighter, not knowing just how much his words resonated with you but didn’t let it show. “Yeah, yeah, I just can’t escape you, huh?” His smile turned a bit puzzled at your little inside joke but before he could ask you about it, you smiled down at him and pressed a quick kiss to his lips before patting your shoulder for him to lean on again, heart racing in your chest at your brave actions and at his words as he relaxed into your hold again.
“If it was me who lost their memory, I think I’d still end up falling in love with you, too. Even if I was somehow transported to another world, and I had the extreme luck to find you wherever I was, I don’t think I could help but fall for you over and over again.”
Soccer was more difficult than you’d previously believed it to be. You thought it was just kicking a ball around a field in knee high socks, not ever having paid attention to the intricate and tedious footwork that needed to happen immediately during a match.
You honestly didn’t think it would be this hard to make a fucking goal, an as wide as the ocean goalpost, and no one was even blocking you, at least not anymore.
“Park Chanyeol! This is cheating! You’re not even on her team, you can’t just help her because she’s your girlfriend!” You snickered to yourself as your boyfriend’s lanky form happily and all too eagerly blocked the annoyed younger man as you struggled to keep the ball rolling in front of you while running like a maniac towards the goal, having tripped over your own feet more times than you’d like to admit.
Ignoring Sehun’s irritated voice as it rang in the air all the while he attempted to escape Chanyeol’s hold to steal the ball from, Jongin was so unconcerned, cackling beside him as he aided in keeping him further from you. Quickly approaching the goal, you kicked the ball into the net a few moments later, as uncoordinated as possible. It was only then that Sehun was released, his lethal glare aimed at all three of you, which you were shielded from as Chanyeol rushed over to excitedly embrace you, arms wide.
The excitement about having scored a goal came back to you and you jumped into his waiting embrace, Jongin’s cheering and Sehun’s it doesn’t count! faded into the background as you melted into his arms, not even minding the fact that the two of you were sweaty from running around in this hot weather.
“Thank you for helping me score a goal, but I feel bad you guys lost, even if it was just for practice.” You propped your chin on his chest as you looked up at him, your lips forming a subconscious pout. He leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to your mouth, smiling down at you so softly that you knew he wasn’t upset about losing at all, this extremely competitive guy.
“It was Sehun’s idea in the first place, having a mock two vs. two match. He makes us practice everyday, and now you know that even the weekends aren’t safe from him hounding us. I know it’s not the most fun for you to just watch us run around the park, so I’m glad I could assist you in having some fun. Don’t worry too much.” Chanyeol tried easing your worries as you snuck another glance at a grumpy and sulky Sehun who had his arms crossed over his chest as Jongin seemed to gloat about something you couldn’t hear.
He really was upset.
Seeing where your gaze led, Chanyeol turned his head to glance over at him as well, Sehun scoffing and turning around as he did so. “Eh, he’ll get over it.” Chanyeol turned back to you with a cheeky grin on his face. “I doubt he’s upset at losing as much as he is that he lost to Jongin. Those two arranged a bet before we started playing, Sehun thinking it was an easy match to win since you, uh... play as well as a toddler does.”
Choosing to disregard the way he’d laughed as he dissed your soccer skills because they were true, you really did not play well, you tsked mockingly at him. “Wow, betraying one of your best friends for me. I didn’t know you liked me that much.”
You were sure the two of you were about to have an incredibly sappy moment, but before it could happen it was interrupted by a shout in your guys’ direction.
“Alright, she’s not allowed at practices anymore, our star player keeps getting distracted at practices.”
He rolled his eyes at Sehun’s words, stepping away but keeping an arm around your waist and kissing your temple, silently urging you not to take his words to heart. “Chill out. You’re just mad you lost.”
“I lost? We lost, you traitor.” At that, he decided he was done talking and began walking back to the center of the field, and you knew he wasn’t too mad or upset when he waved you guys over to him. “Well, what are you guys doing? The game is a week away and we need all the practice we need! Let’s go!”
Jongin had warmed back up to you pretty quickly after your relationship with Chanyeol improved, treating you warmly and it was like meeting a long lost friend, feeling weirdly comfortable around him and getting along surprisingly well when you hadn’t expected it to be so easy.
Sehun on the other hand... well, it wasn’t as if his distrust came from nowhere. He still regarded you with suspicion, something you completely understood. Responding in five words or less to anything you asked or said to him, fighting a smile at any joke you would crack, he was unrelenting.
He was locked onto your every action and word, every expression that crossed your face, especially whenever you interacted with Chanyeol around him. His intense stare daring you to break his bestfriend’s heart again on his watch. A nonverbal warning: I’m watching you.
It stung, oddly enough, but you knew you deserved it, so you didn’t push it.
As if sensing you were getting lost in your thoughts, Chanyeol squeezed your hand in his and led you to the blanket he’d laid down on the ground for you earlier. Sitting you down and placing some food, drink and your book you’d brought in front of you, he kissed your cheek sweetly and ran back to Sehun and Jongin before he got yelled at again.
Jongin shook his head at the lovesick puppy heading towards him while Sehun just eyed the two of you sternly before initiating some drills. Chanyeol made sure to get your attention from your book every now and then with excited calls of your name, shooting you wide smiles with a big wave and you would smile and wave back just as happily.
Things between you and Chanyeol were going amazing. You had no idea that you’d ever like someone this much, and you still thought you didn’t really deserve him. But he always made sure to let you know how happy he was with you, and who were you to argue when he looked at you with that smiling face?
Maybe it was because you were ridiculously happy with how things were going, but you were even branching out and willingly initiating conversations with people around you, something you’ve never done in your life past age ten.
Even your tense relationship with Sehun seemed to improve over time. You were a regular at soccer practices now, lazing around reading and yelling out encouragements from the bench. The big match was set just a few days from now, and you were handing out waters to the heavily sweaty and exhausted players and Sehun took the water you offered him with a small thanks and a smile.
Chanyeol’s answering grin matched yours as he saw how excited you were, playfully tackling Sehun to the ground, the latter fighting his laughter as he fought the other giant off him.
“Listen, I just wanted to say I’m sorry for being so hard on you, especially when you lost your memories and all.” Sehun shocked you as he sprung you with this heartfelt apology out of nowhere. “I just saw my bestfriend hurt and took it out on you. But you make him happy and I’m glad he has you. You’re okay in my book.” His expression was warm as he playfully punched you on the arm, the two of you sharing a laugh as he suddenly straightened and warned in a more serious tone, “I’m still watching you, though, and if you hurt him, you’ll be answering to me. Got it?”
You saluted him and shouted a, “Yes, sir!”
Yeah, you were happy where you were right now.
“I don’t think we’re supposed to be here after hours!” You whisper-yelled after Chanyeol’s jogging figure, trying your best to stay quiet and follow his fast pace, paranoid as you looked behind you every other second.
He led you through the fence with an easy smile, bringing you closer as he adjusted his gym bag over his other shoulder. “Come on, look, the lights are on and everything. It’s like they wanted us to sneak in. I just want to practice my aim before the big game tomorrow. It’ll help calm my nerves. Please? Hmm? Please?”
“Ugh, no fair. You’re too cute for your own good.” You grumbled your answer after he stretched out the last please, looking down at you with those wide eyes and that pout you could never say no to.
Grinning and laughing in victory, he set his bag down on the empty bench and brought his hands up to run through your hair. “That’s my line.” You shooed him away after his cheesy line, smiling to yourself as he ran to the field with the soccer ball he’d brought from home.
Graduation was coming up right around the corner and here you were, still stuck in this alternate/parallel world, whatever you wanted to call it. You still had no idea how or why you were here, but you were done complaining or contemplating.
You honestly had no idea if you would ever go back to the world you came from, but decided not to stress it too much. Things were great—more than, beyond great—here and it just felt right—
“Y/n! Look out!”
Heart rate elevating at the sudden warning, you shook yourself out of your daze and realized with impending doom that the soccer ball was very quickly and very accurately making its way right towards you.
Oh shit.
Experiencing major deja vu, gazing at the same beige walls and sat in the same stiff twin bed in the nurses room, your left temple throbbing and the now familiar feeling of an ice pack being placed on your head made you freeze.
Oh no.
You knew by now who was your company by the smell of his laundry detergent and cologne. You kept your eyesight fixed in front of you, flinching slightly as Chanyeol adjusted the ice on your bruise, afraid of the reaction he would make once you made eye contact with him.
What had changed now? What kind of life were you living now and what role did he play in your life this time? And would he play a major character no matter what life you lived?
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” his words were breathy and rushed as you flinched again as he pressed down a bit harder than he meant to, his anxious expression coming into view as you finally gathered the courage to turn your head in his direction, not liking how distressed he was.
What did you say, how did you react? Did you snap at him or tell him that everything was alright and that you were okay?
“Please say something.” Chanyeol practically begged from beside you, only growing more and more uneasy as you continued in your silent staring contest.
“Can you hand me my phone?” You asked slowly and awkwardly, watching him nod quickly and quickly hop up from his seat to where you saw your bag lay on the floor by the door, heard some rummaging and before you knew it, your phone was being carefully placed in your hand. “Thank you.” You mumbled quietly, heart racing at the possibility of either seeing his face on your screen but were instead met with familiar album cover you remembered setting.
Were you back?
It was then you noticed several messages waiting for you, your passwords being seen as correct now and you saw it was from Junmyeon, a sense of relief you so wanted to believe blossoming in your chest.
Did you give the notebook to him?
I’d rather be tutoring tbh my grandma has fed me at least 20 of those disgusting peppermints already. save. me.
also i barely managed to escaped minseok’s wrath by a few seconds lol
“We have Ms. Lee’s class together, right?” You waited with bated breath after asking that question, watching Chanyeol’s brows furrow in confusion at your odd question, studying the way you casually responded to Junmyeon’s texts, sending back yes, but come over when you can, we need to talk
“Um, yeah. Yeah, we do.” Chanyeol nodded as he answered you to which you sighed in relief at his response. So far so good.
You were back. You think.
Swinging your legs around the stiff bed, you slowly stood to your feet, eyeing his helpful hands on your arm with a bit of uncertainty. You continued to eyed him strangely as he gently offered you your bag and held the door open for you.
“Are you okay?”
“Are you dizzy?”
Jongin and Sehun surrounded you as you two exited the nurses office and you shrank back a bit from their sudden proximity and intense inspections, this scene also very familiar... yet not at all.
“Guys, give her some space.” Chanyeol emerged in the middle of you, pushing them back the tiniest bit to give you space to breathe.
“Oh, sorry. We haven’t introduced ourselves yet, huh? I’m Sehun and this is Jongin.” Their observant expressions changed in an instant to cheeky grins as they waved to you in a casual manner, like you weren’t currently sporting yet again another head injury. “We’ve seen you around school a lot, but we’ve never actually talked.”
You blinked at his words, your eyes transitioning from one to the other, remembering just how close you three got in the other world... or wherever you were. But you just nodded a little in silent greeting and turned to walk away. Like last time, you really needed to go home and make sure you were really home now.
“H-Hey, are you sure you don’t need to go to the doctors? I can help you—”
Shaking your head, you flinched slightly and told Chanyeol quickly when you saw him start to make his way over to you. “I’m fine, really. I can go by myself.” Not that you really felt you needed to go, the last time you went to the hospital for this, they just did a bunch of expensive tests that came back normal and gave you an ice pack and some painkillers in the end.
But you had a feeling you’d be going whether you wanted to or not.
“Are you sure? I just...” he offered again, a guilty expression clear as day on his handsome face, you having the strong urge to grab his hand in an effort to calm him down, but knowing you couldn’t or shouldn’t. “I just feel really bad.”
“You should.” Sehun piped up from behind him, to which you sent an amused glance to.
“As long as it wasn’t on purpose, it’s okay.”
“I swear it wasn’t.”
You nodded at his words, your previously belief of him kicking the ball at you on purpose long gone now as you stared at the transparent distress adorning his face. “I believe you, no worries. Just be careful next time.”
“She’s surprisingly laid-back for just getting knocked out. Maybe she's still out of it? I thought for sure she’d at least rip an arm or leg off,” Jongin murmured to himself after you left, eyeing the door you’d calmly exited from.
“Way to go, Chanyeol. Knocking your crush out with a soccer ball you kicked because you were trying to impress her. Might as well give up now.”
“I told her everything was fine, that I didn’t need to go to the hospital.” You sighed to Junmyeon on your bed, throwing yourself back with another sigh, placing the extra strength painkillers and your ice pack down on your nightstand after your long hospital visit, Junmyeon having rushed over once he heard the news.
“Y/n, obviously she’s gonna take you to the hospital, what if you got amnesia and lost your memories, or something? Plus you asked something weird as soon as you saw me...”
That was true. As soon as you saw your long-lost bestfriend, you asked, “How many friends am I lucky to have?” To which he answered with a confused expression, “...three?”
You erupted into laughter at that, laughing more as you saw the same confused expression spread across his face at your reaction. “Why are you laughing? This is not something to laugh about, young lady!”
“Sorry, I just thought you’d find it funny.”
“Why would I find this funny?”
You just shrugged as he stared you incredulously, as if you had lost your mind, a secret smile on your face as you thought about Junmyeon number two.
"Well, I’m glad that you’re okay, but didn’t you say you had something you wanted to talk about?"
Pursing your lips in thought, you debated telling him about the whole strange journey you’d been on, but decided that maybe it’d be better to leave it in the past, as a strange memory; a dream, nothing less and nothing more than that. “Nothing, I just missed you, best friend.” You leaned over and wrapped your arms around his middle—or at least attempted to.
“Ew, what are you doing?” Junmyeon evaded your touch at the last second, jumping up and created some distance between the two of you, pressing himself against your wall as he stared at you in obvious disgust, you glaring back at him after you regained your balance. “What do you mean you missed me, we just saw each other a few hours ago before you ran into a soccer ball.”
“Fine, I didn’t miss you. And I did not run into a soccer ball, I got hit with a soccer ball, there’s a difference.”
“Chanyeol kicked the ball at you, right? I thought he liked you and was just awkward expressing it, but maybe not if he’d do something so despicable. I’m gonna get revenge for you, Y/n, don’t worry.” Junmyeon began ranting at high speed and all you could do was stare in both mild shock and terror as the glint in his eyes grew more and more calculating. “What should I do—I know! I’m gonna give him all the wrong material for the finals so he’ll fail and—”
“Oh my god, remind me to never get on your bad side.” You grew more alarmed as more words escaped his mouth, the expression on his face growing more and more passionate as he worded his plans out loud and you hurried to stop him and clear the misunderstanding. “But I don’t think he did it on purpose anymore, so there’s no need. You can reign in your inner psycho again, please.”
“You’re even sticking up for him now? What the hell, what brought on this change, did you get hit harder than I thought?”
You smacked his hand away that was slowly approaching with narrowed eyes, before sighing. “I don’t know, just call it a random change of heart and leave it at that.”
“I’m gonna keep a close eye on you. You say you’re fine but you’re acting really weird, you know that, right?”
Simply nodding at his words, he sighed and exhaled as he made his way to your door. “Alright, well I’d better go and let my parents and Minseok know you’re okay. Call me if you need anything, but you probably won’t. You’re a big kid, you got this. Fighting.”
You snickered at his lackluster encouragement and also at him trying to slip in his support for you before insulting you; something that happened every time you got hurt. “Tell them I said hi and that I’ll visit soon. And go already. You’ve stayed too long and I didn’t have the heart to tell you to leave when you’re this worried about lil ol’ me.”
The finger is the only reply you received before you heard him yell from the staircase below moments after he left your room, “By the way, I gave Chanyeol your number! Bye, love you!”
The slight rustling of the leaves in the trees from the cooling wind mixed with the warm sun hitting your face calmed your nerves a little. You were sat on a bench located in a park close to your house, gazing up at the clouds in the ceaseless blue sky.
You’d gotten a text from Chanyeol almost immediately after Junmyeon told you he’d given him your number. He’d apologized repeatedly and to let him know if there was anything he could do for you.
Replying back that you were fine and not to worry, you’d asked him to meet you at said park after soccer practice on Friday if he had time, which was today. He’d texted back not even ten seconds later, agreeing and that he would see you there.
You remember smiling to yourself and thought that maybe he wasn’t so bad after all. Now that you were back, you just didn’t want to waste anymore time. You wanted to hash things out, clear things up... and maybe, you missed him just a little bit.
“Y/n!” The sound of your name being called by that oh so familiar voice had your head turning to the right, eyes widening as you saw Chanyeol sprinting full speed in your direction. He was still dressed in his soccer uniform, barely managing to stop himself from running into your perched figure at the last second, drenched in sweat and trying to talk through his panting. “Sorry... I came as fast as I could... you weren’t waiting long, were you?”
Shaking your head, you scooted to the left a bit, patting the bench next to you for him to take a seat to rest. “Did you run here straight from practice?” He took a seat with a grateful smile, nodding to your question. “You could’ve taken your time, it’s really nice, I don’t mind waiting a bit. I feel bad for rushing you.”
“Nah, don’t worry, I’m used to running. I just didn’t want you waiting alone long.”
Chanyeol’s words had your skin warming and you were sure it had nothing to do with the weather. He was still trying to catch his breath and you eyed his matted hair and that drop of sweat that was beginning to run down the side of his face.
Knuckle gingerly meeting the skin right above his eyebrow, you froze the next second in alarm, screaming to yourself what the hell are you doing. Wide eyes staring at each other, the two of you stayed in that position for a short while before you averted your eyes and cleared your throat awkwardly, letting your hand fall back into your lap.
He wiped the sweat off his face as best he could, scooting further from you a bit. “Sorry if I smell like sweat, I should’ve showered quick before meeting you. How’s your head?”
“I’m good. My doctor said there’s nothing to worry about as long as I take it easy the next few days.”
“That’s good to hear, I really am sorry about... everything, again.”
It was a bit of an awkward silence between the two of you and you took in a deep breath, deciding to just get straight to the point when Chanyeol spoke up before you could. “I think I know what you wanted to talk about... I-I heard from Junmyeon, when he gave me your number, that I might’ve said and done some things to make you think that I don’t like you. But I swear that’s not it and I can explain, if you let me.”
You were taken aback by his words, and you tore your eyes away from your lap to look up at him in shock. He became more nervous the longer you took to reply, hearing the gravel beneath his feet as he began shuffling them a bit. “So you don’t... hate me?”
He shook his head at your question, completely earnest as he rushed to reply. “I could never hate you! It’s just the opposite! I’m just... not good at this flirting thing...”
Eyes going wide at his admission, you felt your heartbeat thunder in your chest. “F-Flirting? This whole time you’ve been... flirting with me?”
An embarrassed look crossed his face at your question, nodding slowly. “Yeah... or at least I was trying to.”
“Oh.”
You felt bad that that was all you could say, but your mind was going a trillion miles a second trying to process the information you’d just learned. It was like your brain was correcting old incorrect flashbacks of when you thought he was out to get you, but now that you knew he wasn’t, you could now see clearly in your mind just how purely happy his smile always was whenever he saw you.
Then that time when he’d asked if you and Junmyeon were dating... And here you were thinking he was a giant jerk when really he—
“Remember when I asked you if you had any friends in class all those months ago?”
“Of course, I do. I was so embarrassed...”
“What I uh, what I actually meant to ask that day was if I could be your friend.”
“Huh?”
“I’m serious...”
You stared at him, not totally believing him, still remembering the humiliation you felt that day clearly. “So you asking me if I had any friends...” you trailed off and looked at him expectantly, needing to reassure yourself, to hear his side again to really determine if you believed him or not.
“I really didn’t mean to embarrass you, I promise. I just really wanted to become friends—I still do! You just... you kind of intimidate me, and I thought... that you’d be less likely to reject my offer of friendship if I did it publicly and it came out like that...”
“What about the, ‘Nice hair, sleeping beauty!’ comment?”
Chanyeol blinked at you, pink dusting his cheeks and the tips of his ears as he averted your eyes, gaze falling briefly on your tendrils dancing softly in the wind before quietly answering, his gaze glazing over a little as a soft smile crept up on his lips. “Well, you do have nice hair. It’s really pretty and I’ve... always liked it. But that day was the first and only time I’ve seen you with your hair up, so I was able to see your face—” he abruptly cut himself off as he felt himself begin to ramble, eyes widening as he shook his head to get back to the question at hand, he finished abashedly, “—and the sleeping beauty comment was because it was also the first and only time I’d ever seen you not show up early to school from oversleeping, so I just blurted it out... maybe I shouldn’t have done that...” He met your stare again as he offered a sheepish smile.
Your poor heart couldn’t keep up with the words you were hearing leave Chanyeol’s mouth. He was too cute. Pure.
Not a malicious thought in that brain of his. You were having trouble fighting back the smile that wanted to show itself.
“...and the, ‘What’s up, nerd? And knocking the books out of my hands?” You couldn’t look him in the eyes but when he straightened suddenly, you glanced at him, not expecting the adorable clumsiness of a reason for the incident.
“I knocked your books out of your hands when I tripped?”
It was your turn to blink at him. “You’re saying you fell?”
Chanyeol nodded slowly, a laugh escaping him. “I’m actually really clumsy. I can’t go a day without tripping on my own feet at least once. I’m really sorry I knocked them out of your hands. I was trying to get your attention so I called you nerd as a kind of a nickname of sorts, ‘cause you’re always studying hard and reading a new book every time I see you, and I remember tripping right when I was walking past you and I... got embarrassed and sped out of there... sorry.”
The more you listened to him, the harder it was to keep a neutral expression in order to not make is apparent embarrassment any worse. You didn’t want him to think you were laughing at him, but he was just so... cute. How could you have ever misunderstood him so badly?
Seemingly oblivious to the smile almost erupting on your lips, he continued without a pause. “My friend told me that girls like the confident, bad boy type. That I had to pretend that I had no interest in you whatsoever, but I still wanted to talk and see you so I just...” he trailed off, his features scrunching up as he ruffled his hair with a quiet groan. “Okay, now I see it.”
You couldn’t keep the full-blown grin anymore and burst out laughing. “Which friend told you all that? It was Sehun, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah! How’d you know it was him?” Chanyeol was smiling in response to your smile but also in amazement at how you immediately guessed right.
“Just a guess. But I don’t think he’s the best person to be getting advice from, for future reference.”
He laughed with you, breathing out a big sigh next to you. “Did I... answer all your questions?”
“You really didn’t mean to hit me with the soccer ball, right?”
“No, of course not!” He was quick to defend himself, shuffling his feet and awkwardly fiddling with his fingers as he muttered softly, “I was trying to impress you by making a goal, not realizing that you weren’t even paying attention and it somehow hit the goalpost at an angle and... I’m really sorry.”
Nodding at his answer, you ducked your head for a few seconds before interlacing your fingers into his, sending his shocked self a smile. “Okay.”
“O-Okay?”
“I can see now that I’ve misunderstood you this whole time, and I’m really sorry for that. And... if it’s okay with you, I’d like to get to know you and see where this takes us.”
It was a sensation of deja-vu;
the way he absolutely beamed down at you, his grin wide, eyes formed into crescents...
down to the way your insides felt all warm just from looking at him.
even down to his reply:
“That sounds great.”
Maybe it was worth taking a risk on people sometimes, especially when someone you least expected to becomes so special to you, becomes the first person to make you feel this way, that someone who smiles at you like that.

you moan into chanyeols mouth as you grind against him, itching to get rid of the barriers of fabric that separate you two. his hands rest on your ass, grabbing and kneading at the flesh. your hands tangle in his hair and you pull gently at the roots.
“yeolie,” you whine, pressing your middle against his clothed crotch. he’s hard underneath you, and you want nothing more than for him to just take you.
“yeah, baby?” he asks, slightly out of breath when you pull away. he looks up at you with those big, brown eyes that give you butterflies, and that you love so much.
“i need you,” you say, pulling at the collar of his tshirt. he gives you a slight smile and lifts his head to press a soft kiss to your lips.
“alright, let me take care of my needy baby,” he teases. you smile and slide off of him to pull off your shirt and pants. he doesn’t let you get further than that, pressing you down into the bed and pulling your panties off for you. “i love you.” he says, placing a kiss on your knee.
“i love you too,” you breathe, closing your eyes when he drags two fingers up your slit before sliding them inside of you. your lips part as he starts pumping his fingers into you, stretching you out nicely before he gives you the real thing. “yeol.” you sigh out, licking your lips as you open your eyes to look at him.
his eyes stay concentrated on your face, basking in the way your face screws up with pleasure as he fingers you and presses on your clit. every time he plunges his fingers into you and curls them, your mouth drops open and your eyes squeeze shut. “like that?” he murmurs, lazily kissing your exposed neck.
“mhm,” you gasp, toes curling. you grab onto the sheets, your back arching off the bed. chanyeol adds another finger, stretching you nicely and rubs you clit with his thumb. “yeol, please.” you moan, your head dropping forward. he speeds up his ministration, his thumb going wild over your nub.
chanyeol leans over and connects his lips to yours, swallowing up your moans as he works you up to your orgasm. when you clench around his fingers and pull your head back from him, he knows you’re close and starts kissing on your neck. he sucks bad bites, leaving bruises that you’ll complain about later.
“f-fuck,” you hiccup, releasing onto his hand. he pumps into you a few times more and pulls out when you mewl his name. you catch your breath momentarily and crawl up to chanyeol and pull him into a passionate kiss.
your tongues battle each other, fighting for dominance. he lets you take control, let’s your crawl into his lap and pull his shirt off. your hands slide down his torso, dragging your nails across his abs lightly.
his hard member presses against the inside of your thigh through his sweats. you pull away to look down at his lap, his print on full display and you lick your lips. you hook your fingers in the waistband of his pants and tug. he picks you up easily and sets you on the bed next to him.
chanyeol pulls down his sweats and you sit on the bed on your knees patiently, unhooking your bra and tossing it aside. “alright, baby,” he says, his voice low. he grabs your ankles and pulls you until youre flat on your back and parts your legs. he stares down at your glistening core, his mind going blank and hazy.
“yeolie,” your voice pulls his eyes up to yours, and you give him a soft smile. he presses a kiss to the inside of your knee and you respond by wrapping your lower legs around his back, urging him closer to you. “i love you.” you say.
chanyeol grips the base of his dick in his hand and pressed the head against your folds. you suck in a breath of anticipation, your hands holding onto his shoulders tightly. you kiss the inside of his forearm by your head, and he nearly melts at the intimate gesture.
deciding to stop teasing, chanyeol pushes himself in and you let out a small whimper at the stretch you haven’t quite gotten used to. “i love you too,” he grunts, pushing him self in until he bottoms out inside you. your chest heaves up and down and your jaw goes slack. “fuck, baby.” he groans as he picks up a steady pace; not fast nor slow, but somewhere perfectly in the middle.
his pace has you whimpering every time he slides back into you, your ankles locking around his back tighter. chanyeol buries his head into your neck and kisses the skin. your tangle a hand in his hair while the other scratches up his back hard enough to leave red marks. “oh, chanyeol!” you cry.
“you take me so well, baby girl. always so good for me,” he praises, lifting his head to kiss your lips messily. you whimper into his mouth, whining when he pulls away from you to speed up his thrusts. “i’m right here, y/n.” he says with a smile, supporting himself on one hand so he can play with your nipples.
you close your eyes tightly, feeling the familiar coil in the pit of your stomach. “more,” you babble, pressing your nails into his skin. chanyeol grunts as he lets go of you breast to replant himself on the bed to give you more of him.
he pounds into you brutally. his face is twisted up in pleasure above you, and you bask in it for as long as you can, your back arching off the bed and into his chest. you cling to him, moaning into his ear.
a single tear rolls down your cheek, matching the raindrops sliding down the glass of the window. your head rolls off to the side, your eyes rolling back into your head as the coil gets tighter and tighter, before snapping and washing over you in an instant. “b-baby!” you cry, clenching around him and holding him close.
“i’m almost there,” he pants, never slowing down his thrusts so can chase his own release. you wrap your arms around his neck and pull him down to you, nuzzling your nose against his, your lips not touching. “shit, y/n. so beautiful,” chanyeol moans, the rhythm in his thrusts faltering.
chanyeol released into you with a grunt of your name, slamming into you one last time before falling on top of you.
you can feel his cum inside of you, and that accompanied by his weight on top of you makes you whimper. “you okay?” he mumbles, kissing your shoulder and rubbing your side.
“mhm,” you reply. chanyeol moves to pull out of you and you tug him back, holding onto him tighter. he doesn’t try again, allowing him to relax and lie on top you long after he goes soft, grateful to have this moment with you.

Chapter 3
N/a stood in front of the mirror, smoothing down her dress with a mix of excitement and anxiety. The deep emerald fabric hugged her curves, accentuating her figure while exuding a confidence she didn’t fully feel. Sunny stood beside her, fussing with her own outfit, an electric blue number that made her look vibrant and wild.
“Tonight’s going to be different, I promise!” Sunny exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “You’ll have fun, and I’m going to make sure of it. Just remember, no stress, just dance!”
N/a smiled weakly, her heart pounding as she recalled the previous party. She had felt so out of place, so overwhelmed by the chaotic energy around her. But maybe, just maybe, she could handle it this time. With Sunny by her side, she could at least feel a little braver.
As they arrived at the club, the pulsing bass of the music vibrated through the air. It was just as crowded as before, but the atmosphere felt more electric, charged with anticipation. N/a took a deep breath, stepping into the darkened space, letting the rhythm of the music seep into her skin.
Sunny immediately pulled her onto the dance floor, twirling around and encouraging n/a to let loose. As the beat dropped, n/a found herself swaying, moving with the music, her initial anxieties beginning to fade into the background.
But Chanyeol was there too.
He was lurking in the shadows, a presence that felt both electrifying and suffocating. From his vantage point, he watched n/a, taking in the way she moved, her hair cascading around her shoulders like a waterfall. She looked beautiful, carefree, but the moment she stepped into this world, he felt an unsettling urge to protect her.
As the night went on, n/a lost herself in the music and the energy of the crowd. She felt lighter, almost as if she were dancing above it all, but her peace was shattered when a guy approached her, drink in hand.
“Hey, beautiful. You should try this,” he said, a smirk on his face as he handed her the drink.
N/a hesitated, her instincts kicking in. The red flags began to wave furiously in her mind, but the thrill of the party dulled her senses. She was about to say no when suddenly, Chanyeol materialized beside her.
In an instant, he snatched the drink from her hand, his grip firm and possessive. “You shouldn’t drink anything from anyone here,” he warned, his voice low but laced with intensity.
Her heart raced as she met his eyes, surprised by the suddenness of his appearance. There was a tension in the air, a possessiveness that sent shivers down her spine. He was a king in this world, and it was clear he wouldn’t allow anyone to threaten what was his, even if he hadn’t claimed her yet.
Chanyeol’s eyes narrowed at the guy, who looked taken aback by his abruptness. “Who the hell do you think you are?” he demanded, his voice low and threatening.
The guy stumbled over his words, clearly intimidated by Chanyeol’s presence. “I-I was just trying to be friendly!”
Chanyeol didn’t care for his excuses. He could feel his frustration boiling beneath the surface, knowing that this world was toxic and that he needed to keep n/a safe. She didn’t belong here, and yet here she was, caught in a situation she couldn’t control.
“Just a warning next time,” Chanyeol said, but he felt an unshakeable anger at the entire situation. The man before him was part of a system that exploited people, poisoned lives, and he would not let that happen to her.
In a split second, Chanyeol’s frustration erupted. He shoved the guy, who stumbled back slightly, before he threw a punch. The blow connected, and the guy’s head snapped back. Blood trickled from his lip as he glared at Chanyeol in shock.
“Chanyeol, wait!” Baekhyun’s voice sliced through the chaos, but it was too late. Chanyeol was lost in the moment, fueled by a primal need to protect what was his. With each strike, he felt his control slipping, his anger spilling out violently.
N/a stood frozen in place, eyes wide with horror as she witnessed the scene unfolding before her. She felt the pulse of the music around her, but it paled in comparison to the pounding of her heart. Chanyeol, the man she barely knew, was beating someone in cold blood right in front of her.
Baekhyun and Sehun rushed in, grabbing Chanyeol and pulling him back. “Enough! Let’s get him out of here!” Baekhyun shouted, urgency lacing his words.
Chanyeol’s hands were stained with blood, and he felt a rush of adrenaline and fury coursing through him. The guy was on the ground now, clutching his face, and it struck Chanyeol that he had gone too far. But all he could think about was n/a, how she might see him, how she might think of him after this.
With a swift motion, Baekhyun and Sehun dragged the injured guy out of the club, the crowd parting as they pushed through. Chanyeol stood there for a moment, chest heaving, his mind racing.
When he turned, he found n/a standing just outside, her face pale as she processed what had just happened. The look in her eyes sent a wave of panic through him. He realized that in trying to protect her, he had crossed a line that could destroy any chance he had with her.
N/a’s heart raced as she stood there, her breathing shallow. She felt trapped between two worlds, the chaotic, violent one Chanyeol inhabited, and the one she had worked so hard to escape. She had come here to experience something new, something exhilarating, but now she was terrified.
Chanyeol stepped closer, his bloody hands trembling slightly as he reached out. “N/a, I—”
But she took a step back, fear flickering in her eyes. “You’re not who I thought you were,” she whispered, her voice breaking.
In that moment, Chanyeol understood that he had lost her. The weight of the night pressed heavily on his shoulders, the realization that his world was too dark for someone like her.
The club pulsed with music and laughter, but for Chanyeol, it all faded away. All he could see was n/a’s frightened expression, and it shattered him.
He was the king of this world, but it was a world she didn’t belong in. And the longer she stayed, the more he risked losing her forever.
The night air outside the club was cool against n/a’s flushed skin, but she felt a fire simmering beneath her surface. Her heart raced as she tried to process the whirlwind of emotions crashing inside her. Chanyeol stood before her, the king of his chaotic world, and yet he looked so out of place, a predator who had just marked his territory in blood.
“Chanyeol, I…” Her voice trembled, caught between anger and confusion. “What just happened back there?”
His brow furrowed, and the intensity in his gaze only deepened her unease. “I was trying to protect you,” he replied, his voice a mix of urgency and desperation. He took a tentative step forward, but she instinctively took a step back, the space between them heavy with unspoken words.
“Protect me? By beating someone to a pulp?” She couldn’t help the bitterness that slipped into her tone. “You don’t understand. I don’t want to be a part of this world! I came here to escape all of this!”
The look in her eyes pierced through him, filled with disappointment and fear, emotions he never wanted to evoke. She was standing there, vulnerable yet fierce, and it ignited something deep within him, something he had buried under layers of cold calculation and ruthless ambition.
“You don’t understand what it’s like,” he said, his voice softer now, tinged with regret. “In my world, people take advantage of others. I couldn’t let him poison you—”
“Poison me?” she cut him off, her frustration spilling over. “I can take care of myself! I don’t need you to fight my battles for me. I don’t even know who you are anymore!”
Chanyeol’s heart sank as her words hung between them like a chasm, wide and unbridgeable. He had been so consumed by his need to protect her, so blinded by his instincts, that he hadn’t considered how his actions would impact her. The raw reality of his world was crashing down around them, and she was right; she didn’t belong in it.
For a moment, silence stretched, thick with tension. The sounds of laughter and music from the club faded into the background, replaced by the rapid beating of their hearts. Chanyeol clenched his fists, blood still fresh on his skin, a stark reminder of the violence that defined his existence. He had wanted to keep her safe, but in doing so, he had shown her the worst parts of himself.
N/a shook her head, fighting back tears. “You think you’re protecting me, but all you’re doing is dragging me into your darkness. I don’t want that. I don’t want to be scared.”
His breath hitched, realizing the gravity of her words. “N/a, please…” He stepped closer again, desperation lacing his voice. “You don’t know what this world is like. It’s dangerous, and I can’t let you get hurt.”
“Then why did you bring me here?” she snapped, frustration bubbling to the surface. “Why do you keep pulling me into this chaos? I’m trying to build a life for myself, and all I want is to dance. To focus on my studies. I don’t belong to this… this world!”
Her words hit him like a slap. He had brought her into this life, a life he had meticulously crafted. She was a light in his shadowed existence, and he didn’t know how to reconcile the two.
“Because I can’t stay away from you,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. “You’re different, and you make me feel things I’ve never felt before. But I can’t let that world hurt you. I won’t let it.”
N/a’s expression softened for a brief moment, but the fear and confusion were still evident. “But how can I trust you when I see this side of you? When you hurt someone just because they looked at me?”
Chanyeol’s heart ached at her words, realizing that he was losing her, and he didn’t know how to fight for her without dragging her into his world. “I’ll make this right,” he promised, stepping back to give her space. “I’ll talk to Baekhyun and Sehun. I’ll fix it, I swear. I’ll keep you out of this.”
But deep down, he knew he was playing with fire. This world was a labyrinth of danger and seduction, and he had already led her to the edge.
As n/a turned to leave, he called after her, his voice strained. “Please… don’t go.”
But she didn’t stop. Instead, she walked away, feeling the weight of his gaze on her back, heavy and suffocating. Her heart pounded, a mix of fear and longing twisting inside her. She didn’t want to admit how much she craved his presence, how safe he made her feel, but the reality of his world was too stark to ignore.
Chanyeol watched her go, feeling helpless and lost. He had wanted to protect her, to keep her away from the poison that permeated his life, but in doing so, he had pushed her further away. The thrill of his violent instincts faded, leaving behind an unsettling emptiness.
He ran a hand through his hair, his thoughts spiraling. This was not how he had envisioned things unfolding. N/a had ignited something within him, a flicker of hope, a desire to be better, but now that light seemed to be extinguishing before his eyes.
“Hyung,” Baekhyun’s voice pulled him from his thoughts, his tone grave. “What the hell just happened?”
Chanyeol met Baekhyun’s gaze, frustration bubbling back to the surface. “That guy… He shouldn’t have given her that drink. He put her in danger.”
“Sure, but beating him half to death wasn’t the answer,” Baekhyun replied, crossing his arms. “What if she had seen you kill him? You could have lost her for good!”
Chanyeol’s fists clenched at his sides, anger and guilt warring inside him. “I didn’t care. I just wanted to keep her safe. I was protecting her.”
“Protecting her?” Baekhyun raised an eyebrow. “You think that’s what she sees when she looks at you now? You just showed her how dark this world really is, and she’s terrified.”
Sehun stood beside Baekhyun, his expression serious. “Hyung, you need to talk to her. Tell her the truth about who you are—what you do, and why. She needs to understand that you’re not just a monster.”
Chanyeol felt the weight of their words settle heavily on his shoulders. “I know, but… how do I explain that my world is built on violence and drugs? How do I tell her that I’m a part of that? I wanted to keep her safe from that reality.”
“You can’t shield her from the truth forever,” Baekhyun insisted, his voice firm. “If you really care about her, you need to let her in. Show her who you are, both the good and the bad. Otherwise, she’ll always see you as a stranger.”
The reality of their words struck him like a blade. N/a had become a part of him, and to truly keep her safe, he needed to let her in, however dangerous it might be.
As n/a made her way home, she replayed the events of the night in her mind, each moment slashing at her heart. She had wanted to feel alive, to experience the thrill of being somewhere new, but now she felt suffocated by the darkness that surrounded Chanyeol.
He was dangerous, yes, but there was something about him that pulled her in, his intensity, his passion, the way he seemed to care so deeply despite the world he inhabited. But could she trust him? Could she trust someone who lived in a reality so far removed from her own?
She thought of the way he had looked at her, the desperation in his eyes when he warned her not to drink from anyone. It was protective, but it was also possessive, and it unsettled her. She had always been independent, always prided herself on being able to stand on her own two feet. The idea that someone could take that away from her felt suffocating.
But what if she was too quick to judge? What if there was more to Chanyeol than the violent facade he presented? N/a sighed heavily, her heart torn between wanting to understand him and fearing the darkness that surrounded him.
“Are you okay?” Sunny’s voice broke through her thoughts as she slid into the passenger seat of n/a’s car.
N/a forced a smile, though it felt strained. “Yeah, just… a lot to think about.”
Sunny studied her for a moment before speaking. “I know that look. You saw him again, didn’t you? What happened?”
N/a took a deep breath, the weight of her emotions threatening to overwhelm her. “He… he got in a fight. Someone tried to give me a drink, and he lost it.”
“Lost it how?” Sunny pressed, concern etched on her features.
N/a hesitated, searching for the right words. “He beat the guy up, Sunny. It was terrifying. I don’t know what to think. I don’t know who he is.”
Sunny’s eyes widened. “Oh wow, n/a… That’s serious. You can’t just ignore this. You need to talk to him.”
“I don’t know if I can,” n/a admitted, her voice cracking. “He’s… he’s so different from me.
N/a walked away from the chaos of the club, her heartbeat still erratic, her steps quick as she tried to distance herself from what she had just witnessed. The night air was cold, but it did little to quell the heat of confusion and fear churning inside her. She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling both physically and emotionally exposed.
Chanyeol had been a stranger until tonight. An enigmatic figure she’d only seen from a distance, once at the club and briefly at the ballet academy. He had seemed untouchable, like he didn’t belong in her world at all. And yet, tonight, he had been close—so close she could feel the tension radiating off him when he grabbed that drink from her hand.
She had seen the look in his eyes—protective, yes, but there was something darker lurking behind it. A possessiveness that made her uneasy, a wildness that reminded her just how far removed he was from the world she had known. She had come to Korea to build a new life, to focus on her passion for ballet, not to be drawn into the orbit of a man whose life was shrouded in violence and shadows.
Her mind raced as she replayed the events in her head. One minute, she had been trying to enjoy herself, trying to feel free, and the next, Chanyeol was in front of her, his grip firm as he took the drink from her hands. The memory of the violence that followed was too raw, too fresh. She had seen him.

A/N: high five if you recognize the title from that vine. this was s little “game” I let you guys play by voting members who you wanted to read a smut of! I didn’t really edit it and I might’ve missed some things here and there from lack of attention (feel free to point them out so I can edit and fix them, but please be nice about it!!). Thank you for encouraging me to write when I was going through a tough time, it means a lot to me. Also, rembember how I said this was going to be really short? lol I went over 3k words and added characters, some plot for shits and giggles. don’t pay too much attention to the pics in the collage, I just couldn’t find any neutral sundress pictures that spiked my interest
PS: let me know if you’d like for me to write a piece connected to this with another member, I was thinking about Minseok, since a gave all members a girlfriend, but I kept them all nameless for Reader immersion purposes. Otherwise I can write for other members but unrelated to this plot :)
⟶ To my dear readers: feedback is highly encouraged and important! as it gives me motivation to write with more passion, knowing that you like what you are reading. Please LIKE and REBLOG so more people can find this and read it. ❤ My askbox is always open for questions or to chat ❤
Enjoy! ❤
On the last days of spring, when the weather gets unbearably hot all of a sudden, the only option is to gather around with friends and family and have a cold drink. Shed the heavy cold weather clothes and enjoy some sunbathing in the backyard! At least, that’s what Chanyeol told you repeatedly during the week; he’d been so excited to meet up with all your friends and eat delicious grilled food that he wouldn’t shut up about it throughout the week.
The more he spoke about the activities you would enjoy on the weekend, the more you grew excited and looked forward to it. You couldn’t wait to wear a summer dress and forget about your duties in the office for a day or two, finally catch up with both yours and Chanyeol’s friends and play with Jongdae’s little princess. You and the girls would often joke around about who would be the next couple to have a kid, the guys would just laugh and say it would most likely be Jongdae and his wife, again.
Chanyeol had a big smile plastered on his handsome face as soon as you pulled in the driveway to Minseok’s house, he hadn’t even set foot outside of the car yet he claimed that he could smell the burnt scent of charcoal coming from the back garden. “Trust me, I can smell it.” It was about an hour before noon when you arrived, as you got up early in the morning to get the best deals at the store, had some quick breakfast and got on the road.
“Yes, baby, I’m sure you do.” You laughed as you unbuckled your seatbelt and picked up your purse. “Help me get the bags from the trunk, will you?” You pressed a quick kiss to his cheek and got out of the car, being immediately greeted by Sehun and his girlfriend, as they pulled up in the driveway too, right behind your car. You were quick to forget the bags with the groceries and squealed out of happiness as soon as you saw your friend, whom you haven’t seen in a while. Her arms brought you in for a tight hug.
“Babe, what happened to us helping each other carry the groceries?” Chanyeol shook his head but he too had a bright smile on his face. He returned the bags with the extra food and drinks for the barbecue inside the trunk to quickly greet Sehun. “Tell me you got a good cut of beef ribs, we only found pork chops at our grocery store.”
Sehun carried a couple of plastic bags from his car and showed them to the older male. “Dude, I had to fight an elderly lady for these. Kyungsoo needs to pull a five-star Michelin on them.” You all laughed at his words, finally picking up everything that you needed to and carried it inside the house.
Inside, the atmosphere was just as lively as you had expected it to be on a Saturday morning. Everyone was already assigned to their duties, from preparing food and mixing ingredients for dipping sauces according to everyone’s preferences, to happily chitchatting and catching up on their daily lives. Gathering together in one place was a difficult challenge, considering some people had hectic work schedules, but not impossible.
It wasn’t long before you and Chanyeol got separated and fell into rhythm with the tasks you needed to help with. Your boyfriend, being the guy with the most handiness skill out of all his friends, took it upon himself to assemble the metal picnic tables in the garden, grumbling how they could’ve called him earlier, instead of messing around with the bolts and screwdrivers.
Kyungsoo was in the backyard too, doing his best at the grill as usual, with his girlfriend and Jongdae assisting him. Not that the other guys or girls couldn’t cook, but the truth was that no one else could give food the flavors only Kyungsoo could. In the kitchen, on the other hand, you helped wrap up and store away all the food that you thought you wouldn’t need for lunch, yet it would still be ready to go on the grill in case people wanted more. You and the girls weren’t really sure, but considering the amount of food your men could stuff in their mouths, each of the couples bought extra things. Minseok’s fridge and freezer could barely hold anything anymore!
“Don’t worry about it!” His fiancée told you cheerfully as she helped you close the overstuffed drawers. “We’ve already agreed on cooking everything and then packing the leftovers for all of you to take home.”
Lunch was going smoothly under the gazebo in the backyard, filled with friendly banter and anecdotes; the food was amazing, the addition of grilled vegetables, some fish side dishes and various dipping sauces helped balance the amount of meat that filled the tables. A few people risked choking on their bites because of Baekhyun’s antics, unable to contain their laughter as he went back and forth with Chanyeol about some stupid challenge… To which Jongin kept mischievously adding fuel to the fire, while his girlfriend was too busy helping you feed Jongdae’s daughter and keep her entertained. You could only imagine how much him and his lovely spouse needed a small break from being parents and just enjoy their time together, while still being one arm length from you across the table.
Time flew by so fast until you reached the late hours of the afternoon. Surprisingly, not many people were exhausted from hours of fooling around and catching up. The charcoal in the grill was lit up once more, but this time Yixing, Junmyeon, Chanyeol and Jongdae were on cooking duty. Kyungsoo, Baekhyun and Sehun had to go sleep off some of the soju they had in the afternoon on the sofa in the living room.
You had yet to digest lunch and were honestly feeling pretty stuffed, but playing with the one-year-old Princess made you feel a bit worn out and not very hungry. Jongin helped you keep her entertained even when she didn’t want to take a much needed nap, she was just too full of energy for a tiny human. Her parents and the others tried to attract her attention away from you and Jongin, yet she just wasn’t having any of it, you two were her most favorite people to play with.
Chanyeol smiled absentmindedly at the sight of you carrying around the toddler, it got cool enough for you to be able to play on the grass with most of her toys scattered on a picnic, checkered blanket. His eyes moved back and forth from his hands expertly turning the meat on the grill to you making funny faces to the child. He knew you guys were always joking around about who would have a child next among your group of friends, but what if… it were the two of you? Kids loved you and enjoyed your bright personality, you were always so easy to talk to — okay, maybe babble in this case — and ready to play whenever the kids wanted. Chanyeol loved kids too, he just didn’t pause to think about having children of your own, on a more serious thought.
“She has so much energy and patience with children. Our Princess can be a little overwhelming sometimes.” Jongdae drew Chanyeol’s attention by commenting on his friend’s girlfriend, still appreciating the fact that she kept his child busy all afternoon so he and his wife could enjoy a rather peaceful barbecue with their friends. “So when are you going to have one of your own?”
“Jongdae!” His wife called out behind him as she came to collect a hot plate with more food. “You can’t just when Chanyeol and Y/N are going to have a child just because you bet on it.”
“You did what?” Yixing laughed out loud, covering his mouth while he munched on some charred piece of pork belly.
“He and Baekhyun bet on it this afternoon while drinking,” Junmyeon added to the conversation while he plated the food that was done grilling. He found it amusing to watch Chanyeol’s ears turn red from the teasing.
“They will have kids when they want, right? When that happens we’ll be all ready to celebrate.” The woman added, grinning at Chanyeol and then left with the food that Junmyeon had just plated, Jongdae behind her trail with two more plates.
A warm feeling started bubbling in his chest, his eyes went back to search for you, sat at the table with the toddler in your lap and still holding onto you strong and giggly. You were so freaking cute, he always made sure to tell you that, but right now he wondered what it would be like if the child you were holding were his and yours. A mini version of yourselves. Adorable, that would be so adorable.
With a newfound purpose, Chanyeol wanted to walk right up to you and ask if you wanted to have a child together… maybe not in front of everybody, but he just needed to find a way to get you alone for a couple of minutes. If Jongdae and Baekhyun bet he would be the next to have child, then he’d make sure of it. Totally not because he got riled up by a nonexistent challenge…
You started to feel a bit constricted in your summer dress, clinging to your body like a second skin from all the sweating, despite having been shielded from the sun most of the afternoon, it was still pretty hot. The only time you got to feel something cool on your skin was when you and a few other girls decided to set up a kiddie pool for the toddler, except at some point the more mischievous and playful of the bunch decided to splash water on you with the garden hose, instead of filling the inflatable pool. Needless to mention you didn’t bring a change of clothes, but it dried off eventually.
Sat back at the table for dinner, you held the little princess in your arms while enjoying an improvised karaoke show by Baekhyun — now awake — and Jongdae. Apparently Minseok still had those wireless, bluetooth microphones Baekhyun gifted him and his fiancée last Christmas. He figured they would have fun singing around the house by themselves, but it turned out that they could use them now for more entertainment.
The toddler in your lap made grabbing hands towards her father, seeing as he was singing and swaying around with a shiny toy, which emits sounds in his hands. He came close and picked her up, placing her on his hip, then continued his show, occasionally handing the tip of the mic to his daughter’s lips.
“Baby?” You hummed in response to Chanyeol’s voice, but not really paying attention to him since you didn’t want to miss the show. You felt his hand sneak its way onto your knee, but his eyes were too busy looking at your chest. “You have barbecue sauce on your tiddies.”
“Barbecue sauce on my..? oh—!” The subtle yet sensual way he whispered those words in your ear, including the choice of words, made heat rise to your cheeks as you looked down at your chest. There was a big streak of a deep red stain on your sundress, looking quite fresh with some drops on your skin too, just a little above the collar. You remembered the Princess waving around her favorite spoon earlier and at some point she managed to dip it into your own plate, you assumed. “I don’t have a change of clothes,” you whined softly by turning to look at your boyfriend with a pout.
He swiftly stole a kiss from your pouting lips and motioned with his head towards the house, speaking loud enough so you could hear him above the musical happening in the backyard. “Do you want to go inside and help me try to clean the stain?” You saw a glint in his eyes but didn’t think too much of it, at which you just nodded. Chanyeol, ever the loudest after Baekhyun, asked Minseok’s fiancée above the music which bathroom could you use to clean the stain and she replied to head for the one upstairs, since the sink downstairs was clogged.
Chanyeol held your hand and guided you inside and throughout the house with urgency, as if the stain needed to be taken care of immediately before it dried off. Although, you already knew it was unlikely going to come off with just some tap water. You furrowed your brow in suspicion but said nothing, until you found yourself on the upper floor of the house, bathroom door locked behind you.
“Alright, what’s gotten into—“ you didn’t get to finish the sentence as your words got cut off by Chanyeol’s lips pressing against yours sloppily, yet ardent. You felt his body guide you backwards until your bum hit the sturdy, cool surface of the sink.
“Let’s make a baby,” Chanyeol panted as your lips parted, your eyes widened in disbelief, pupils frantically searching his for any sign of him joking, but you knew his serious and determined expression too well. He was sincere about wanting a child.
“Right now?!” He looked up and to the side, thinking, then nodded vigorously. Sure, you talked about it before briefly, both of you would love to have a little bundle of joy someday, but was now the right timing for it? You would never know unless you try, right? “But we’re at our friend’s house…”
“And has that ever stopped us before?” Chanyeol insisted, peppering your face with wet kisses. You rolled your eyes and shrugged while thinking about how many times you sneaked around during a party at your friends’ places. Minseok would kill you if he found out you were desecrating his en-suite sink like this.
Chanyeol’s lips were back on yours as soon as you gave him the go, fingers digging into your hips while you wrapped your arms around his shoulders. Thankfully, the countertop was clean of any bathroom products, otherwise you would’ve knocked them over and made a mess as soon as your boyfriend slipped his warm hands behind your thighs, to then lift you up on the hard surface. You gladly spread your legs for him and let him press his clothed crotch to yours, feeling an already growing bulge rub against you in a desperate manner to gain some friction.
You knew you were playing with time; you needed to be quick and stay quiet, which would not be an easy task considering how riled up Chanyeol could get you. There was no time to waste, you reminded yourself again, as your mind became foggy with desire for the love of your life. His kisses were all over the place, dancing from your lips, to your jaw and then to that sensitive spot on your neck. Heavy panting against your ear, while he managed to slip the large palms of his hands under the skirt of your dress and hike it up your hips. You bit down on your tongue the moment you felt his digits press your clit through the damp fabric of your panties. It was so hard to focus on not moaning, while you could hear the commotion from the backyard still going on, yet the songs had changed, including who was singing.
“Oh, Park Chanyeol,” you moaned out of breath, lust clouding your vision as you pulled back to look at him from under your lashes. “You chose the worst timing to be this horny.”
“What do you mean?” He scoffed with a wide grin on his handsome features, meanwhile his hands left your body for a brief moment to undo the belt and zipper on his shorts, swiftly pushing them down with his boxers. “I’m always horny when you walk around looking so gorgeous all the time.”
You didn’t have enough time to marvel at how hard he was because his words made you giggle, unable to contain the excitement you were feeling. It had been a while since you two had sneaked around, you never knew if anyone was going to come looking for you. You too made quick work on getting rid of your panties with his help, then allowed him to drag you closer to the edge of the sink, his arms snaked under your spread thighs and he held onto your hips to keep you in place. You wrapped your legs behind his back, then spit on your fingers and spread the saliva on the tip of his cock, earning a deep groan from his pretty swollen lips, lastly guided him to your entrance until he was pushing inside slowly.
A sharp gasp escaped your throat, eyes closed and head thrown back, you held one arm securely around his wide shoulders and one securely on the sink, to keep yourself steady as you arched your back for him. He felt so warm inside of you, keeping still for a mere moment more before he started thrusting slowly, lips immediately latching onto yours to keep you quiet. Any faster than the torturously slow pace he had set, and you would’ve already been moaning out loud enough for someone to hear you.
He pressed his forehead to yours, glossy eyes looking at each other as he thrust into you. You could feel the muscles in his arms flex, restraining himself from picking up pace and just ramming into you. “Please, faster…” A soft whine reached his ears. How could he deny you such pleasure when you were asking so desperately.
“Are you going to be a good girl and stay quiet?” He asked in the same whispering tone. You didn’t trust your words so you just nodded vigorously, a crease forming between your eyebrows. Chanyeol picked up pace and watched intently as you bit down on your lip to keep quiet, yet your lips would part of their own free will, allowing short whines to roll off your tongue.
One of his arms let go of your hip and he removed it from under your thigh, bringing his fingers to your mouth, until you gladly wrapped your lips around two fingers, licking and sucking to help you stay as silent as you possibly could in this current situation. As deafened as your ears felt from blood quickening its pace in your veins, you strained them to listen to your friends inside and outside the house. There were still people singing and laughing, some muffled voices, yet loud enough for you to hear them coming from downstairs.
It wasn’t the most romantic setting to make love to for a possible child, but the loving way Chanyeol was looking at you was enough to help the fire in the pit of your belly start erupting. He could feel it too, the clenching of your walls around his length. Such a blissful feeling that would send him over the edge soon. Your toes curled and your head lulled back, releasing Chanyeol’s fingers from your mouth as you reached down to rub yourself, heavily panting when a few swirls of your digits on your clit were enough to make you cum.
Chanyeol watched you reach your high, smiling at your blissful expression, a long guttural whine reaching his ears while he helped you ride your orgasm. The clenching of your walls around him was so painfully sweet that in a couple more sloppy thrusts, he came too inside of you. Sputtering, warm seed painted your walls, tickling them to clench again, which earned a low grunt from your boyfriend. He stood still inside of you, relaxing his body into your embrace with his forehead resting on your shoulder.
A loud knock on the bathroom door made both of your gasp in shock, panicked eyes facing the same direction. “Did the stain come off?” Minseok asked from behind the door. “I have some laundry stain remover if Y/N wants to try it.”
You quickly covered your mouth to prevent yourself from bursting out laughing, Chanyeol’s dick was pretty much still buried deep inside of you, but you could feel it getting softer. He took a deep breath to recompose himself and replied to his friend. “Ugh, no need, we’ll just wash it back home since the barbecue sauce isn’t coming off.”
“Yeah, that’s what laundry stain remover is for, you dumbass.” Minseok countered, and now you allowed yourself to laugh out loud.
“Thank you, Minseok, I’ll give it a try.” You told him, your voice was surprisingly steadier than you would’ve thought. He left the product by the door and left afterwards without any further questions. “Do you think he knows?” You murmured, unsure if he was really gone.
“One way to find out.” Chanyeol slipped out of you at last and your jaw dropped immediately with a soft gasp after he left you empty, still wishing you had gotten more, yet you could feel his seed seeping out of your entrance and coating your folds. “You look so beautiful.” Gently hands cupped your cheeks and pressed an almost chaste kiss to your lips. He breathed in your scent and looked deeply into your eyes. “You’re going to be a wonderful mother.”
You heart warmed up in your chest and it quicker up its pace once more. “And you’re going to be a wonderful father.”
